Quentin Tarantino always can make a great script. Nonlinear storylines, stylizing violence, excellent dialogue, all these things you can contribute to a Tarantino film.
Jackie Brown is no exception.
Filled with an All-star cast (Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro, and Michael Keaton), Jackie Brown is a great movie, you can watch over and over again.
The story is about a flight attendent named Jackie Brown. She has very low pay, so she smuggles money from Mexico and gives it to Ordell Robbie (Jackson), a gun runner being watched closely by the ATF.
Two ATF agents (Michael Keaton and Michael Bowen) arrest Jackie for carrying the money, and they put Cocaine in her bag, just to make the charges worse.
Across town, Ordell thinks Jackie will rat him out for less jail time. He gets his bail bondsman, Max (Robert Forster), to get Jackie out of jail, so Ordell can kill her. Max begins to like Jackie.
Ordell goes to her apartment at night after she gets home. He plans to kill her, but before he can put a gun on her, she already has a gun on him. This just shows how smart Jackie is.
The majority of the rest of the story is how Jackie plays both sides.
Jackie Brown is definetly worth a watch.
