As many a critic has mentioned (including Roger Ebert) this film will probably pale down to a "better than ok" film on DVD - while it is stunning and mindblowing on the big screen - there's no substitution for the immersion factor that the big screen provides. I enjoyed Dist 9's "film at 11:00" style, but it did not suck me into the alien world the way Avatar did. Cape Fear was a mess - and Stupid Island, while having some nice artsy shots, had continuity problems and a very weak script (which I suppose you can't blame on the director).
