Don Bluth had a weird career with his animated films. He saw an ever steady decline in returns, quality, gross and critical reception from one film to the next. A Troll in Central Park was the absolute bottoming out of his efforts. Barely getting a release at all the film aims for the very young audience and isn't particularly appealing even to them. Mercifully Bluth was allowed one last hazah! three years later with the successful big budgeted and star studded Anastasia.
