One of the most entertaining films of the summer. A creative premise, very good visuals and a talented cast make this picture enthralling. That aside, the film is too long. Some of the concepts such as the multi-level "kick" and "projections" did not reflect dream irregularities such as differences and changes in familiar human and location appearance during a dream. It was the job of the "architect" to in some way control the environment, but the dream world often felt more like it was switching between books or movies than levels of dreams. The film sometimes broke the fictional illusion by causing the viewer to say... "well if it was a dream wouldn't they..." However, given the plot, the film was carried off very well and masterfully directed.

A tease that spirals quickly into utter disappointment. The first 30 minutes set the audience up for some comedic, if not profane brilliance. At that point the movie begins a nosedive into a pointless splatterfest in which the plot magically disappears. A total waste... of talent, of a good premise, and of my hard earned money. Catch a clip of Corddry's profanity laced tirade toward a security camera on you-tube and you've seen the only decent part of the movie.

Let's see...something good to say, something good to say?! Hmmm! Acting... no. Characters... no. Story... please! Effects... try crumpling aluminum cans and throwing them in the dryer then watch them as they roll into an undiscernible metallic mess. However, the popcorn was top notch!!!

Quite simply a stunning classic of one man's triumph over loss, maintaining honor while treated as a criminal. The performances by Crowe, Phoenix and Harris are each masterpieces in and of themselves. A can't miss!

Disappointing. The "coming of age" story of Harry, Hermoine, and Ron was certainly brilliantly done and well acted. However, as I watched I was reminded of a Harry Carey Cubs broadcast where the game became incidental to his commentary. Scenes involving the potions book(after which the book and movie were named)and horcruxes (the main revelation of the plot) were sloppily thrown in as if Mr. Yates felt they were an unpleasant necessity.

Indulgent nonsense. Although the gritty complexity of the characters is a welcome departure from the super hero genre, and it is generally well acted, the extreme graphic nature of some of the violence and sexual situations is totally unecessary to the story and seems to be included for nothing but cult appeal. Too long and too much.

I'll cut to the chase. I have been a huge Adam Sandler fan since his days on Saturday Night Live. There has always been a little raunch in parts of his movies, and I am no prude, but Zohan is well outside of the bounds of reason. My wife, my son and I sat through about 45 minutes of this and just stared at each other. No laughing, no drama, nothing. I have walked out on only 3 movies in my life; Ishtar, Time Bandits, and now Zohan.
Sorry, but Zohan is, by far, the worst movie I have ever seen. Please save other hardworking folks the cash and tell them to stay away from this movie. Collin Reynolds :rotten:
