Enjoyed the review, do agree that the huge gaps in time and other things make the structure a little more amorphous, though I was able to deal with it more because the revolution theme worked in my book, and while I would have also liked more development, it was already a pretty lengthy movie. Probably liked it a little more than you but awesome points. (Also loved the "tingle in my pants" line.)

(Also I have more thoughts in my review, though I was kinda tame at discussing specific parts for the sake of spoilers haha)

Wow, I read this. Haven't read anything seriously written by a member in ages. It's pretty funny, your review and for the most part I agree. I thought TDK and TDKR had this rushed pace and that is reflected by a problematic narrative. Also, Miranda is a pretty lame ass character and you got it spot on that she only makes the MAIN villain look weak and in the end, unimportant. The bomb scenario is way too much of a cliche and anyone with a serious movie experience will be bothered by that.

...because you know. It's a spectacle. The build up to Bane-Batman fight is awesome and I couldn't wait for it. Nolan is after all, a great director and with all the almost ridiculous pressure he made a satisfying conclusion to the story. He mixed the right elements of spectacle and thrills with drama and storytelling through the whole trilogy and after all...I think he is slowly becoming a no. 1 director slowly surpassing his older colleagues.

I enjoyed the movie, but I can relate to quite a few of the gripes you've brought up.
