Enjoyed the review, do agree that the huge gaps in time and other things make the structure a little more amorphous, though I was able to deal with it more because the revolution theme worked in my book, and while I would have also liked more development, it was already a pretty lengthy movie. Probably liked it a little more than you but awesome points. (Also loved the "tingle in my pants" line.)

...because you know. It's a spectacle. The build up to Bane-Batman fight is awesome and I couldn't wait for it. Nolan is after all, a great director and with all the almost ridiculous pressure he made a satisfying conclusion to the story. He mixed the right elements of spectacle and thrills with drama and storytelling through the whole trilogy and after all...I think he is slowly becoming a no. 1 director slowly surpassing his older colleagues.

I enjoyed the movie, but I can relate to quite a few of the gripes you've brought up.
