Compelling, amusing and poignant all in equal measure.

A superb storyline and production of a racist Korean war veteran (Walt), recently widowed, who catches one of his new neighbours (an Asian teenage boy) trying to steal his beloved classic car.

However, he slowly realises that the boy was under pressure by a local gang to steal his car and didn't want to do so in the first place.

The boy wanted to make amends by doing errands for Walt, which at first is very reluctant to do so, but over time agrees to let him.

Over time, he sees the boy does not want to follow the same path as the gang and in return for the boy doing errands, decides to meet him half-way and help set him up on a better path and even more importantly, starts to bond a friendship and starts to become more tolerant of his ethnic origin.

This also helped him face over his pent up feelings of his time serving in the Korean War and get them out on the open.

A great film with the moral of the story being that it's not too late in life to make amends and get things out in the open.
