I really enjoyed this film! The problem with it is that there isn't anything original about it. Its a great film as an homage to the 70's and 80's sci fi films (primarily speilberg films), but it doesn't do anything new. The performances were very enjoyable. All the children were great in it and Kyle Chandler is still one of the most underrated and under appreciated actors working today. It made me feel more than any other film i've seen this year and i thoroughly enjoyed it. However, overall as a film, it just doesn't do anything new to go down as a classic sci fi film.
