    Taken

One of the very best and most surprising films I saw last year was "Taken" staring Liam Neeson. This film is smart, fast paced, emotionally charged, well acted and action packed. It reminded me of the Bourne Identity or Polanski's Frantic. Beautifully set primarily in Paris, Neeson's character is tasked with recovering his naive, 17 year old daughter from the shadowy clutches of a large, dangerous and sophisticated Albanian sex trade gang. "Good luck."

Turns out he doesn't really believe in relying on luck all that much. He's got serious skills and he puts them to good use in chasing down anyone necessary to get his daughter back.

    See this movie.
