According to Wikipedia Mongolians prepare special meals by preparing the meat within the abdominal cavity of a deboned marmot or goat. This process is ultimately more pleasant and rewarding than the shit fest production we now know as "The Blind Side". This project is so hell bent on guilty tripping an audience into a mass tear jerk that it offers the kind of underdog no-nos writers should be fully aware of before submitting a script.
Sure it can be argued that Sandra Bullock goes through a massive transformation and provides an impressive performance in an attempt to shoulder this film, but so does the marmot during supper time. In the end it's still a disgusting display we've grown past and should get over.
Mediocre despite some noteworthy leads but be thankful we didn't touch on the inclusion of that red neck Tim McGraw because that is an entire paragraph for ranting on its own.

Stepword Wives 2.0.
Cinema just loves poking a finger into the murk of suburban conformity, dishing out the citizens as ignorant consumers and baffled sheep. Likewise we cannot forget attractive trophy wives and a lust for golf.
The Joneses offers noting new and delivers a pretty lazy execution of what could have been an off the wall reflection of what makes the nuclear family tick. Instead we have a star vehicle for Demi More and some sex addict trying to pretend hes a nice guy with perfecftly bangable kids who would probably prove to be more lucractive as child prostitutes... which is exactly what they are, now that I come to think of it.
Mediocre and rather unfunny. You kind of expect Nicole Kidman to pop out from behind the LEO sofa demanding her royalties.
It's good points lie in its sharp photography but this isn't exactly a milestone achievement in films concerning suburbia, but I guess it beats the cardboard cutouts of a Burton film (which is at least entertaining).
