First let me just say Max Payne should have been rated R. No, the version in theaters right now should be PG-13, but they should have kept the movie rated R. Yes, it probably would have gotten less money in the box office, but the game is rated M and I loved both games. The movie itself wasn?t bad, but it could have been way better.
Max Payne is played by Mark Wahlberg (The Departed), a cop who is trying to find the killer who killed his wife and baby. Mona Sax is played by Mila Kunis (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), a rich girl looking for her sister?s killer. (Seriously, they really don?t tell us who she really is.) Lt. Jim Bravura is played by Chris ?Ludacris? Bridges (Crash). BB Hensley played by Beau Bridges (The Good German), the boss of Max Payne?s wife. Chris O?Donnell (Vertical Limits) who has maybe 7 minutes of screen time playing Jason Colvin. Donal Logue (Ghost Rider), who apparently gets killed in ever movie he stars in, plays Alex Balder, Max?s old partner. Last but not least Amaury Nolasco (Transformers) plays Jack Lupino, the bad guy of the movie? Damn that?s a lot of actors.
The story of the movie has little to do with the game. Just like every video game movie out there, they have to alter it so they can make everyone happy. It really doesn?t work, but there our some pretty impressive scenes in the movie. I don?t want to spill the beans on anything, but the last 30 or so minutes of the movie is really, really good. The first half is pretty slow, and a little disappointing. Over all, the movie was worth it. Max Payne is not the best movie based on a game, but the action and slow motion in the movie was really good, when it was going on. All in all see it if you are a fan of the game, if not see it if you want to watch a different type of action movie.

Quantum of Solace is the 22nd Bond film made, and it is the 2nd Daniel Craig Bond. Some people are already calling him one of the best Bonds of all times, behind Sean Connery. I have to agree. I love the new Bond and the new direction. No more Bond in bed with every girl he meets, no more crazy/stupid gadgets, no more invisible cars with rocket launchers. The new Bond is great, but Casino Royale does everything, right. Quantum of Solace does? mostly.
Quantum of Solace stars Daniel Craig (The Golden Compass) who plays James Bond of course, a mean killing machine. We have two Bond girls in this one. The first is Gemma Arterton (RocknRolla) who plays Strawberry Fields, and the other Bond girl is Olga Kurylenko (Max Payne) who plays Camille. Mathieu Amalric (Munich) who plays Dominic Greene, plays as the villain who wants desert land to take all of the oil. Last but not least the film features Judi Dench (Goldeneye-Quantum of Solace) who plays M.
Quantum of Solace is a great movie, but with every great movie there are flaws. There really were not a lot of flaws but the main problem was the action, no the action was great; I guess you have to blame it on the editing. The action was very jumpy and hard to follow at sometimes. The scene in the trailer where Bond falls though the roof, the action after that is very fast and it is hard to see who is who. That was the main flaw; another would be how Bond seemed like a robot in this one unlike the Casino Royale Bond, all he wanted in this one was revenge. The positives were the action. The action was fast paced and non-stop and fun to watch. Critics are saying this can be a sequel to a Bourne film, I can see what they mean with the camera, but that?s about it.
Over all, it?s a wonderful movie, has great action, great acting, and great set pieces. This movie might be on my top ten of the year, yes it was that good. On rottentomatoes.com it is at 66% and top critics are at I believe 35%. The top critics are crap they want there old Bond, which in my opinion is too over the top like in Die Another Day. Also one critic said Bond isn?t an action star, leave the action to Bourne. What the HELL does he mean? What has James Bond been the past 22 films? I don?t know just watch the movie because it is awesome.

Role Models is one great comedy. It is not as funny as Superbad, Pineapple Express, or Knocked Up, but in a lot of themes and elements, it is a better movie. Role Models story is actually very strong, and feels like a real world movie. Role Models also has a good moral story and I believe you will be seeing this on the top ten list for sure.
Role Models stars Paul Rudd (Knocked Up) he plays the depressed Danny Donahue. Danny?s kid he has to role model is Augie Farks, who is played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad), a nerd in love with the battle game ?LAIR.? Seann William Scott (American Pie 1-3) plays Wheeler, a happy dude who loves life. Wheeler?s kid is Ronnie Shields who is played by Bobbe J. Thompson (Fred Claus), a loud-mouth kid who cusses. Also Elizabeth Banks (Zach and Miri Make a Porno) is in the film plays Beth, Danny?s ex-girlfriend and lawyer.
As for Role Models story, from the trailer you can already tell what the story is about, but you have to see it in theaters to get the real picture. The movie is actually deeper then you think. The movie has a lot of heart, just like Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin. The movie has the heart, but does it have the comedy, and the answer is yes, yes it does. The jokes don?t get throne out like Superbad, but they do come and they are hilarious.
Short review, I know, but there really isn?t a lot to explain about this movie. The movie is about being a Role Model, and that is about it, and it might sound like a weak story plot, it isn?t. At rottentomatoes.com I believe it is at 75% and for a comedy to be that high on rottentomatoes.com is pretty rare. All in all a rare comedy that delivers all of the goods and never really screws up.

Traitor was your average, run of the mill, terrorist movie. It brought nothing new to the table. The movie is worth seeing if you are bored out of your mind and have nothing better to do and you?ve seen every other movie, but there are plenty of other movies out there to watch.
The cast of Traitor includes Don Cheadle who plays Samir Horn, one of the terrorist in the movie, but is he a good terrorist or a bad terrorist? Also Guy Pearce who plays Roy Clayton, the FBI agent after Samir. Neal McDonough who plays Max Archer, Roy?s partner. Also Jeff Daniels is in the film. He plays Carter and he maybe has 10 minutes of screen time in a 2 hour movie.
The movie is just like every cat and mouse movie, chase the bad guy and catch him, but is he really the bad guy or is he on your side? Been there done that! The funny thing is the writer of the movie is funnyman Steve Martin? maybe Steve should just act in movies, not write them, especially movies he has never really done. Also, the plot twists are not surprising.
Traitor is a skipper. There is no need to really see this movie in theaters, wait for it on DVD, I kind of wish I did. Your boredom should be pretty high if you want to see this movie.

Hamlet 2 came out of nowhere. A sequel to Shakespeare?s Hamlet and you know what, it is a great sequel. I?m pretty sure Shakespeare would love this movie as much as I did? OK joking about Shakespeare liking it? maybe?
The cast of Hamlet 2 was really good! First off we have Steve Coogan who plays Dana Marschz the drama teacher with emotional issues. Also, Catherine Mraschz, a drunken wife to Dana. Elizabeth Shue, who plays well, Elizabeth Shue, is a nurse who wanted to get away from Hollywood. Last but not least David Arquette is in the film, who plays Gary and maybe says three lines throughout the whole movie. Oh, and Amy Poehler is the lawyer, Cricket Feldstein, who is flippin? hilarious
Hamlet 2?s plot goes like this? Dana was a commercial actor that didn?t make it big, so he moves to Tucson, Arizona and becomes a drama teacher. Soon to his knowledge, the drama department is about to shut down so he decides to write a play and writes Hamlet 2. The school principal gets a copy and bans it from the school, so the lawyer Cricket comes in and saves the play. Let?s just say the play part was hilarious. It was comic-genius!
I know Hamlet 2 is probably at your local dollar theater right now or it not at any theater. See it on DVD it will be worth your time. It is a fun and harmless comedy! (Minus the harmless).

It is great to see that Nicholas Cage?s hair plugs are going pretty good. As you can tell if I?m talking about Cage?s hair plugs over the action, the movie didn?t suit me. The violence seemed like they tried too hard, the acting was alright, and the story was been there done that, but I did like the ending? no not the credits, the real end of the movie.
The movie has little major actors in this movie. We have Nicholas Cage (National Treasure) who plays Joe. Really? that is about it. The rest of the actors in the movie are Hong Kong actors and don?t really have a long filmography.
When watching this movie I felt like they were trying to hard. The action was pretty good, when it was going on, but when it was going on it felt like they were trying to do something new. It really doesn?t work. They also tried to do the violence in an artsy way (I know that doesn?t make sense, but watch it and you might get what I am saying). The movie tried to do a love story and that doesn?t work either. The one good thing I will say about this movie is the ending is really good. I didn?t know even know before I saw the movie that this is a remake of a 1999 movie with the same name and the same director?s.
All in all, not a good movie whatsoever. I honestly like Nicholas Cage in a good amount of his movies, but this one gets a pretty big negative is my book. This movie might be on my top 10 worst movies of 2008.

Punisher War Zone was better then the trailer looked, kind of like the Rambo take came out this year. It is better then I thought, but it is not better then the 2004 Thomas Jane Punisher. All in all a good way to start the December movies.
In this Punisher, the Punisher/Frank Castle is played by Ray Stevenson (King Author), a former marine who lost his family and is now out for revenge. Julie Benz (Dexter, Saw V) plays Angela Donatelli, a widow because Frank Castle killed her husband on accident. The villain in this movie is Jigsaw and he is played by Dominic West (300), a kingpin with connections. The other main two characters are Colin Salmon (The Bank Job), who plays a cop on revenge to find the Punisher. Last is Wayne Knight (Seinfeld), who plays Micro, the Punishers connection to getting his guns.
The story is the Punisher is getting revenge on Jigsaw, or the other way around and there are other characters involved that are trying to help or kill the Punisher. Like I said before, Thomas Jane plays a better Punisher then Ray Stevenson, but these are totally different movies, just like Hulk and The Incredible Hulk. It is another Marvel franchise getting a reboot. Honestly, I don?t know why they wanted to reboot the Punisher, but hey more power to them. Everything was stronger in the first Punisher, except the violence/gore. The gore and violence was great and bloody. Punching a guy?s face in with your bare hands and having his head explode is priceless. Oh and there are NO tie-in?s with the Punisher or the Hulk or Iron Man.
It's a good actions movie. This weekend the decision was between Punisher: War Zone or Transporter 3, and I gotta say I made a wise choice.

There is a little movie called Law Abiding Citizen and it looks like you have already seen the movie, right? Well sort of? the story is very similar to most revenge movies, but this one does have wit, edge, and will take you for a ride. Don?t except a perfect viewing though.
Law Abiding Citizens cast only consist of a few famous actors. First off we have Gerard Butler (300, The Ugly Truth) who plays the father who watches his wife get raped and murder and also watches his little girl get murdered as well. Jamie Fox (The Kingdom, Ray) plays the lawyer who made a deal with the ?bad guys? and Gerard Butler?s character gets pissed. Leslie Bibb (Iron Man, The Midnight Meat Train) plays Jamie Fox assistant. Last we have Regina Hall (Scary Movie 1-4) who plays Jamie Fox?s wife.
I will just put it this way if you seen the trailer, you know the story. Yes, there is a good amount of twist and turns that are pretty awesome. The deaths in the movie are awesome and very original. Honestly, there really is not anything new that the movie brings to the table except a couple twists and how people died. It doesn?t mean it is a crappy movie; no I liked it a lot. Now the bad? the ending. It just feels incomplete. It feels like the cello should have blown up. You will not get that line unless you see the movie.
Overall a good movie. I do wish though it packed more punches. Go see it if you want to see a decent action movie, or if you haven?t seen Zombieland, see that first. Wait? crap need to review that.

This is one of the most original movies I?ve seen in a long, long time. The humor was dark and hilarious, (No, the humor is NOT for everyone). The story was smart and clever. The violence was dark and gritty. Let?s just say the movie was almost perfect. Well, perfect might be stretching it.
Burn After Reading has a very strong cast which includes George Clooney (Michael Clayton) who plays Harry Pfarrer, an FBI agent who has never fired a shot off his gun. Tilda Swinton, who plays Katie Cox, is married to Osbourne Cox played by John Malkovich (Con Air), who Katie is having an affair with. Harry and Osbourne Cox are being blackmailed by Chad Feldheimer, played by Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Linda Litzke who is played by Frances McDormand (North Country).
From above, you are probably confused about what is going on, and you should be because you will NOT understand the movie unless you see it. There are a lot of plot twist and a confusing story line. The movie though is priceless. I loved it because there is no other movie like it, it is very original. The Coen Brothers are very talented directors, first No Country for Old Movie, and now Burning After Reading. Very talented, also the actors in this movie are very believable. The acting was very top-notch.
When you are reading this review you are probably thinking this might be the weakest review you have wrote. It probably is because it is kind of hard to write a movie that is this complicated. The movie comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray December 21, 2008 and I will buy it to watch it again because I probably missed a lot of the movie. I?m sorry if this movie review sucked, but hey this review might make you watch the movie because you might become curious.

HOW COULD YOU SAY THIS SUCKS? I had to wait and read what the critics thought of Transformers 2 and now it is official, most critics out there are old farts who just want to watch their boring movies. So here I go.
When watching Transformers Revenge of the Fallen what did you think the movie was going to contain? A romance comedy about some Autobot love? NO! This movie is supposed to be loud with hot babes, fighting robots, and badass special effects. Seriously the main question to ask your self is: What the heck else was I expecting? There actually is a story but you rich buttholes refuse to see it. Here it is, robots have been with us since the beginning of time and they can?t kill humans but the Fallen doesn?t care and he needs to kill the human race with the matrix, but other Transformers wouldn?t let that happen so they kill themselves to protect the matrix from the Fallen. Now Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sam Witwicky (Shia Labeouf), Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox), the US military (Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and others), Agent Simmons (John Turturro), and a bunch of other Transformers have to stop the Fallen and the Decepticons from killing planet Earth. To me that storyline works, but hey who pays me to do the reviews? Other are complaining is being racist. Really it is part of the character. From Reno Wilson, one of the ?racist? Autobots, Mudflip, said ?It's not fair to assume the characters are black.? Reno Wilson is black for the record. Reno also said ?It could easily be a Transformer that uploaded Kevin Federline data? and ?It's an alien who uploaded information from the Internet and put together the conglomeration and formed this cadence, way of speaking and body language that was accumulated over X amount of years of information and that's what came out, If he had uploaded country music, he wouldn?t have come out like that." AMEN! Wait didn?t they explain that in the first movie? holy crap batman!!!
Saying it is too loud is saying Bruno is too gay. Transformers 2 is supposed to be loud and full of action and Bruno is supposed to be about a gay guy. Seriously though, if you say it is too loud get ear plugs, ok. Lastly, saying it is too long is seriously dumb because it is only six minutes longer then the first. WOW! Six minutes is a huge freaking deal!!! Oh and everyone knows critics are not fans of Michael Bay movies, for reasons I really do not know. I am pretty sure that is mostly what they were whining about. I know some critics like it and the critics that did got the point of the movie, just read Owen Gleiberman?s review from Entertainment Weekly, he got it. I also know some of you are going to say well you?re complaining just like all the other critics. Well, I am sorry I am just trying to put my voice out and defend a perfectly awesome movie. So my point is, stop being a bunch of wussies because you know what? Star Trek was just as loud and Gran Torino and Notorious are more racist. So stop bashing a good movie for random issues you are pulling out of your freakning butt.
Yours Truly, Chase Lehocky
Ok so you can see I absolutely loved this movie. I found NO mistakes with it. Everything was freaking perfect with the movie. I am going to leave with a quote from Shia Labeouf ?We?re the most explosive, biggest, fastest, strongest film that you can get this summer and I think that the storyline and the characters and the actors? Everything is just better in this film. Not to say that it?s perfect, but it?s far better than the first film was.? I did find one mistake in the quote? it is picture perfect.
