The Hunger Games is sure to satisfy anyone with an appetite for an exciting action thriller. It's a big adventure film made with the sensibilities of an indie drama set in a post apocalyptic future. It's a movie that is emotionally moving at times and uses silence to create tension.

Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing young actress. She has the presence, a magnetic blend of strength and feminity, to carry the massive expectations of the adaptation of the ultra popular book of the same name.

My only criticism is that I thought a couple of the action scenes were a little weak & silly. For example when Katniss was caught up the tree and used the bee hive to get the rid of the gang waiting for her below. The CGI dogs looked fake too. Why not just use real rottweilers?
