This is a beautiful film about the stories of four people who are all connected in some way. It's very real and brings tears to your eyes in some of the scenes. There's a scene with a deaf Japanese girl who is at a club with her friends and a guy she likes. She's dancing and sees her friend kiss that guy and during the scene it is silent to show you her point of view since she can't hear. It just felt real and I could really understand her emotions. Great director, great performances, great film.

The poignant Japanese story is by far the best thread in this multi-layered film and should perhaps have been the sole focus of the project. Hell I could have done without seeing the Afghan boy jerking off to his sister or whatever that was.

When the Swedish original, Let the Right One in, came out, I absolutely loved it. When I heard there was going to be an American remake, I was not excited. I thought the original would be ruined. I looked up the actors for it and wasn't as disappointed and then it came out with amazing reviews. I put it in my netflix queue to see what all the hype was about. Wow! It really was amazing. The american version even seemed a bit more evil in some ways. I didn't catch from the Swedish version that she kind of had a strategy to replace her old caretaker with a new one. Brilliant in so many ways.

I read the novel by Cormac McCarthy and it was absolutely incredible. This film does a very nice job at capturing the strong bond between the father and son. The very end brings tears to your eyes, thanks to the awesome performance of Kodi Smit-Mcphee. In both the book and the film, there is no clear explanation as to how the world collapsed, which makes the whole experience more subjective. For instance, the book/film is about a boy and his father trying to make it to the coast and the father keeps having flashbacks of his wife (who couldn't handle living in that kind of world) and so everything is on a much more personal level. When I heard that Viggo Mortensen would be the father, I thought that he was perfect for the role and after seeing it, I was right. Viggo's portrayal of the father deserves recognition. This film is (obviously) not the warm, feel-good type but there is hope in the tragic ending.

I was curious about this movie....didnt expect to be blown away but still looked interestingTell me though, did Michael Cera finally play a different character? I loved Superbad but i have to admit i was getting annoyed that he was always playing the same character and this movie finally seemed like he was bridging out....was he?

This is one of the best vampire movies that I have seen in a long time. It incorporates most of the vampire stereotypes and tells a story about a boy who meets a vampire girl and how their friendship for one another grows. Great film!

did you get the impression that the little girl goes around recruiting these boys to be her guardian while she sleeps and when they get too old she gets rid of them? Adds an interestingly sick angle to their relationship.

This is a film about erotomania (a type of delusion where someone believes that a complete stranger loves them). Most of the movie leads you to believe that Audrey Tautou is a completely innocent young lady with a strong infatuation for a doctor. The ending was absolutely brilliant and so is the acting. This role for Tautou was definitely a change from the sweet Amelie Poulain. He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not is a film that is worth seeing!

I just saw this last night and really enjoyed it. It depicts real life and real relationships with distinct style. This director did Thank You for Smoking and Juno so I was expecting it to be good and was not let down. The ending is clearly upsetting (I will not spoil it but I will just say that it has a realistic ending). This film isn't a laugh-out-loud comedy, but it does have many humorous moments. It also has a great message: human connection is one of the most important elements in life. If you have some free time, it's definitely worth seeing!

True Blood is my favorite show of all time. I read the entire series that it's based on so you would think that I know what's going to happen on the show, however, the writers created excellent twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Alan Ball (writer of American Beauty and Six Feet Under) brought this show to life and has done an incredible job. There's also wonderful performances. It is sure to entertain all who watch it. This season was brilliant and so was the second, I can't wait for the third! PS. Twilight sucks in comparison to True Blood!

Well the whole first (and maybe the second) season was by him, yeah. I don't know how old you are but when Twin peaks came out in 1990 it was a PHENOMENON and it was talked about across the world. You're one of many people that have brought up how good True Blood is. I don't normally do Vampire stuff, however I was recently spoiled by Let The Right One In.

Twin peaks scared the living daylights out of me when I first saw it at age 10.I recently revisited it and it's just as good as when I first saw it, although not as creepy.I really think True Blood is a great show that carries on the torch from Twin Peaks and X-files,but it's also quite different from them. It's certainly the most sexually explicit show I've ever seen originate from USA.I'm used to thinking of US censorship as being pretty strict.Allan Ball must hav
