After hearing that this film has a reputation in some circles as the best movie ever made, I had to hunt down a copy. Indeed, it was brilliant enough to even exceed my exaggerated expectations, and I can see why it is so well respected. Anybody who really loves the art of motion pictures must see this in their lifetime.
