If you haven't seen it you should see it. This film is intensely disturbing and gripping - it doesn't use monsters, ghosts or brutal violence to scare. Glenn Close gives an Oscar-worthy performance as the deranged Alex Forrest (she was nominated but didn't win) and Michael Douglas is superb too. Despite its strengths at times it is painful to watch.

My 200th rating! Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
What a treat! This is an incredible sequel to 1984's Terminator, glorious action and drama throughout - this is how sci-fi movies should be. I had heard several times that the sequel was better than the original but I wasn't too sure what to believe because that is rarely the case but in this case it was very true, no question about it! The original was good but this was better.
I was glad to see Schwarzenegger as a protagonist this time which helped a lot, also Linda Hamilton's character was a lot more interesting this time as she was a bit disturbed. The kid who played John Connor was outstanding and he worked so well with Arnie.
This made me laugh a few times too, I remember thinking I shouldn't be laughing (at the scene were the guy licked Sarah Connor's face for some reason whilst she was strapped down) and when John Connor tries to get the terminator to smile, that was actually hilarious.
Overall I cannot give T2 less than 100% approval, so there it is, as a big Schwarzenegger fan I was delighted when I saw this for the first time last night. True Lies and Kindergarten Cop are must sees for Schwarzenegger at his best as well.
Thanks for reading my 200th rating review.

We are all Precious?
In a world where most films are made for the money and stories are effects-driven and hollow. Precious is a film that made me re-think what makes a good movie.
I didn't particularly enjoy Precious because it was a bleak and grim tale of abuse and sadness, despite Precious' resilience. However I know this is a great film because it gives us a chance to see a world through the eyes of a person who has been through so much, also the performances from Gabourey Sidibe and Mo'Nique were outstanding.
I don't think that Precious will win the Academy Award for Best Picture and I don't want it to but Sidibe and Mo'Nique are definitely in for a chance in their categories.
Overall, I think that Precious is a riveting and disturbing film but there are glimpses of hope on show here and... it's a solid film. 8/10.
P.S. Look out for my 200th rating review (I don't usually have time to write reviews but I am going to try hard for the film that goes with my 200th rating - Precious is my 193rd rating)
Thank you! :)

Futurama is a series with enormous heart and adventure so for me it was a massive blow when it was cancelled in 2003.
This movie is the first of the four and for me this was certainly the best from the four. Bender's Big score has a perfect balance of comedy and emotion and it in places it brought a tear to my eye. ;)
Maybe it helps that its story involves time travel and the show's enduring theme of unrequited love; or maybe this just exposes my own nerdiness in how I'm inherently drawn to these things. But all-in-all this was a flawless effort and it features all of things that made Futurama great.
Thanks to DVD sales on June 9, 2009, 20th Century Fox announced that Comedy Central had picked up the show for 26 new half-hour episodes that will begin airing in mid-2010 with the full original cast.

Matchstick Men is a highly involving story and it has incredible performances from Nicolas Cage and Alison Lohman. What makes Lohman's performance all-the-more impressive is that she's playing a character 10 years younger than she is.
In my opinion this is Ridley Scott's finest film and one of the best of 2003. See it. 9/10.

Full of inspiration, wonder and joy. The best performance I have seen Smith give with an outstanding performance from Jaden Smith - Will Smith's real-life son. The Pursuit of Happyness is a beautiful film.
