never reaches any new heights in comedy it seems to be happy just leisurely telling an unfunny story. nicolas cage is always engaging but sometimes the material never allows him to inject anything into the role, this is one of those cases. jackson is interesting but nothing in this thankless role, a shame considering he's talents.
how the talent involved joined this film is the ultimate puzzle.
