Haha, gah I'm sorry, man. I know, I messed up on the length with this one. I assure you there will never be another as long as this. **That's what she said?** I'll keep them to the point in the future. Thanks for taking the time, man!

Great film, I agree Juno was a better film. Both Juno and this film were dealt with serious issues but Juno felt more humorous and lively. Still, this is a very good movie.

Yeah, Juno felt really lively and I just thought Up in the Air (while a good film) felt pretty sterile. It was just draining for me, sorta like this review is for you all. :)

Good review. I've seen both of Rietman's earlier films (even though I did not realise who he was until you mentioned it). It is interesting how you mentioned that Juno and this are both comedies dealing with serious issues, because Thank You For Not Smoking has a comic/ serious strand about PR and the media.

Yeah, he seems to be a pretty skillful satirist, not shying away from the real, often morose issues of the world and giving them a little pep. I still need to see Thank You For Smoking. I'm not a smoker, but I'm afraid the movie might tempt me to smoke after I see it. It's just a good movie, right? No propaganda? haha

good review. i love George Clooney. I would like to see him in a role that really challenges him. It seems he plays the same type character. except for Batman. He was cute, but not Batman material.

yeah, i don't think anyone plays a smug, handsome man better than the Clooney. He's even better at that image than Cary Grant was. I thought he did something different in Burn After Reading, which I thought was hilarious (due to Brad Pitt mostly) but Clooney was good in that. And yeah, definitely not Batman material. Thanks, man!

Great review! However, I despised this movie, I found the whole "the only way you can have balance and meaning in your life is if you found someone!!!!!" message offensive and misleading.

well, i remember one of the characters saying that, but I felt like Reitman kinda unraveled that message in the ending scene where Clooney visits Alex's flat and gets a big surprise. I felt like it was saying marriage doesn't solve everything, and there's still so much room for error. but i see what you mean. the movie felt a little sterile for me.

Thanks, man! You're in the majority who thought Kendrick did an excellent job. I thought, for the most part, she actually had a great performance. but, there were scenes with her that did not feel genuine. and that's probably due more to the script than to her acting. she made do with what she had.

great review Dan I'm really undecided about whether or not to watch this film, it's been getting lots of praise but I'm just not interested in it. I did think Juno was alright though.

Jack, to tell you the truth: I wasn't interested in it either. Airports are a very sterile subject for me already and the movie really didn't prove me wrong there. Having seen it, I would say there's some really good writing, acting, and a relevant message. But would I see it again? Probably not. And I'm not the biggest fan of Clooney either. Although, i do admit he's the sexiest man alive. haha. thanks!

Solid film, and excellent review. I think this is his second-best, right behind Juno -- watched it recently and still thoroughly enjoyed it, save some of the dialogue. Well done.

I actually shipped this one just because I'm not a Clooney fan, but after reading your review I think I'll give it a chance, but still I'm certain that "Juno" is better for my taste! Great review ;)

You know, I'm not really a Clooney fan either. While does he some great acting here, it's just not that different from most of his other works. Some critics might call that "nuanced", but i still think the man should take more risks. the risktakers are the best actors, in my opinion. Thanks for reading!
