Strong acting all around and a realistic setting elevate this film, which otherwise would have sank due to its boxing movie cliches.
A film that survives on its look rather than the story. Too often I was aware that the actors were in fact acting, until the second half of the film, which almost redeemed itself. Regardless, it is effective in its atmosphere, and the setting is vividly recreated.
If you're a die-hard SNL fan, you will recognize many of the sketches on this Best Of, and they're good, but in my opinion Chris Farley wasn't the funniest cast member. He was good for pratfalls, yelling and throwing his weight around in pretty much every sketch. It's not... More
