If you are a sci-fi geek, trust me, you need to see this. You will not leave the theatre disappointed. Lower your expectations though, there are a lot of things wrong with this movie. If you are a sci-fi fan though, I know you will walk away satisfied. You can tell that the Strauss brothers are big time fans of the genre and that they are aiming to please people like themselves. I gave it a 100 percent because I dont feel like it deserves the critical thrashing that it is receiving.
This has been a strange year in movies as studios have tried to emulate big budget productions with small budgets. This has been seen in movies such as Predators (The ship blowing up and just about all of the explosions), The Expendables (That building falling down at the end and some explosions), and Let Me In (The woman and nurse in the room on fire). Now Skyline has joined these movies where you can tell there were budgetary limits. I just dont see why filmakers would let things like that into their film, it makes it look so tacky. I would just edit it out. Oh well, just like in the movies above I was able to look past those things and enjoy the film but moments like that did take me out of the film and it was obvious that some members in the audience were not able to look past those aspects.

Almost nothing original in this movie. No witty dialogue, no great scenary, no original plot, just another run of the mill action thriller.

You know how some of Adam Sandler's movies start off funny then start to be more about the drama. Well this one is similar, except the drama part is much much longer. It is more about this sad comedian who feels like he hasn't done anything with his life. It was really just depressing. It did have some occasional funny moments, but not enough to make you wanna watch it ever again.

This movie is possibly one of the funniest movies ever. If you are a fan of British humor, there is no way you can miss seeing this comedy classic.

I don't know what to say about this movie. It wasn't bad, but I just wasn't feeling the comedy. A decent story, but Rip Torn and Stiller were the only characters I found funny. They were also the most outrageous characters. Perhaps I wasn't in a great mood when watching this movie.

This is a classic Arnold action movie. It is the perfect movie to watch with a few dudes on man night. Action is good, and as always packed with good ole Arnold one liners.

If you are expecting a food thriller that makes you think with a few clever ideas, think again. This movie is a bunch of old ideas, with an old plot, and almost no exceptional action. The characters don't seem realistic, and this is perhaps Travolta's worst acting I have ever seen. I am not sure If I should be fearing Travolta or laughing at his ridiculous lines and strange character. If you want a good heist movie go watch inside man.

I have to agree with the masses on this one. It is actually an original concept to the whole alien human relation story, and the special effects were well done. The action was a bit spastic (camera wise), but definitely intrigued the mind and emotions in a good way.

For hardcore horror fans this movie is a bit of a dud. With all the hype I was really expecting to wet my pants, but I have seen so many horror movies perhaps I am to critical. It is decently entertaining, but I feel a movie like 1408 was actually more frightening.
