This is a pretty heavy movie. I think it has been awhile since I saw a movie so provocative, suspenseful, dramatic and exciting. Dragon Tattoo is so graphic and dark that I saw a couple people leave the theater after a certain shocking scene.
The film is also a bit lengthy, but like other long ass movies that are extraordinary, the whole thing is worth watching.
Anyone who enjoys/enjoyed Silence of the Lambs, Oldboy and/or Seven, will be mesmerized by this Swedish flick.
I'm pretty sure I will not watch the U.S. remake (even though David Fincher is attached to it), just like how I will not watch the U.S. remake of Let The Right One In. The only exception would be if everyone gives the remakes rave reviews or someone forces me to watch them.
PS - I did not read the Dragon Tattoo novel.
