I love movies. I probably watch a movie a night or I read a book. The thing with books is that I might get 40-50 pages in and if I dont like i or the pace is too slowt I will quit reading. Does this mean the story wasn't good or that the book itself wasnt? No, but that is why I love movies. I can watch a movie and even if it isnt the best I will probably still finish it. If you check my reviews you will see that I am very borderline on many movies. All it means is it is rare that I hate or love a movie I watched and many times I am right down the middle. I can find things to like in many movies even if the movie wasnt the best. Don't get me wrong, there are movies that I think are horible and great but I am willing to watch most movies. Most of the movies in my collection are my favorites but a few I own for specific reasons. For instance, I own Stealth for the sole purpouse of watching the loud action sequences. These scenes are done well even if the rest of the movie is just meh. My purpose for writing this isbecause I sometimes see peoples comments or reviews of movies and they either love or hate it. I say if it looks interesting then give it a try and remember that they all are not going to be oscar worthy. Movies are for entertainment and should be treated as such, so dont get worked up because studios are doing reboots or remakes. Sometimes the reason is to bring these movies and stories to a new generation who may not be interested in the older versions. You are still going to get the original movies and the hidden gems every year. If you see a movie getting bad reviews watch it anyway and form your own opinion. You may just find something you like in a low scoring movie, I know I do.
