Lukewarm and overrated. I keep reading reviews by people who refer to this movie as "nostalgic"...How many of you worked in a carnival in the 80's and acted like sad... More

I don't care what anybody says, this movie is a forgotten CLASSIC. You can't judge films like this based on the concept of "hit or miss". "Kentucky Fried Movie" was a great exploitation film that greased all the different trends in cinematic and televised pop culture at the time. Be careful not to judge this movie out of the context of when it was made.

This film came from a time when funny looking people were in funny movies. An obscure and veritable late night sandwich of clever R-Rated parodies. Are you going to tell me that you didn't enjoy "Catholic High School Girls in Trouble"? Can you honestly say that "Fistful of Yen" was not the perfect parody of "Enter the Dragon"? Of course there will be certain sketches you don't laugh at, but when is the last time you saw a film like this...anywhere?

A half hour of mock TV and news show sketches followed by the FILM AT 11. Followed by yet more sketches...Shot beautifully on old school grainy 70's film technology, with naked girls getting whipped by midgets in clown suits, Big Jim Slade crashing through the wall to steal your would be queen, Dr. Klahn giving you his gratitude while sending his hostages to Detroit, and the educational film about zinc-oxide where everything goes wrong?

This movie is like a view into the late night subterranean peep show of your childhood dreams. If this movie doesn't turn you on then you must be dead or too damned high brow for your own good. Maybe you just had to see it when you were in middle school, maybe what you're missing is a little of the old puff puff pass...

The truth is, there is so much in this film that it's re-watch value is through the roof! That's where the magic really happens. Try again friends, it'll grow on you. Some movies are funny only once, but few will make you laugh harder every time you see them.
