While watching the movie I kept thinking that the movie was trying to be an epic movie very hard, but it failed at the end. Fist, I though the movie felt short for some of the cast. On one hand you have Cate Blanchett in a role that felt uncomfortable and uninteresting. She is such a strong actress and so lovely, but her portrayal of a country lady did not fit her well. On the other part, you have Rusell Crowe, which is a good actor as well, portraying Robin Hood but looking exactly as a bad sequel of Galdiator. He definitely has to stop pretending that every character is "Maximus". Gladiatior was great, but its over. Move on.
The music was ok. Maybe the final battle music was somewhat epic but the plainness of the movie took the good out of it, if there was some. I also though some of the scenery was boring and sloppy. The clothes were good, but everything was too serious.
Another big issue was the dialogue. It was not exciting in any level and sometimes was just awkward and bizarre for me. Also, some scenes seemed out of place and forced. The battle scenes were sloppy and looked like a bad copy of Troy, LOTR and Glatiator combined.
As for the good things of the movie, I remember some scenarios like the green pastures and the trees that were charming and relaxing for the eye, but everything else was too dark and not in a good way like a Batman movie. In conclusion, this is not a good movie and there is nothing of what I remember of Robin Hood in it. It's not entertaining and I gave it a 50% on rotten tomatoes because of the effort on the clothing and some special effects.
