    Possible Spoiler Alert*

Words cannot express how i actually feel about this movie. This movie worked very hard for the ratings that it truly deserves. Also, my half brother has been to Iraq about 3 times now and so has his wife, so this movie also brings me some excitement but also sadness with what is truly happening out there in the middle east.

The Hurt Locker was about a bomb squad in Iraq and their day to day lives. Death of loved ones and friends is inevitable especially in Iraq. In this movie, they portray a short trial of time served in Iraq by this bomb squad in the U.S. army.

The details and truths about what is really going on in Iraq with our army is one of the main reason why i think this movie was rated so high and loved by everyone, especially army families. It is very hard to see the truth though sometimes especially when you have loved ones that go out there and spend whole years at a time serving in over 100 degree weather, fighting for our country and saving lives of Iraqi people every day.

In this movie, it shows a bomb squad which is very important to the army out there. Other troops hear word of a bomb or see wires on the ground leading somewhere and they bag ass out of there and call in the bomb squad.

This whole movie is about a very gifted person who signed himself up for terms in the army. He is not worried about dieing as much as he should and he is more courageous than most people you will ever meet. Another amazing characteristic about this guy is that he is a perfectionist when is comes to disarming bombs. His care is not solely for the bombs and himself though, he also cares for the people he meets and his wife and kid back at home, which i think makes him an amazing character in the movie.

The movie does go a little off track from what it really is supposed to be about, but every detail in the movie is worth seeing and should never be cut out of the movie.

During the story i remember seeing this little boy that was trying to sell porn to the "new guy" in the group, he instantly grows a relationship with this kid, but later finds out that he is dead, killed by a Al Quida bomber and made into a 'body-bomb'. I think that this is one of the hardest parts to watch in this movie. It shows that there is a lot of loss for loved ones when there is war, it is so hard to watch as an army parent to i will bet.

The basis of this movie is and will always be just like the operation that is going on, Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Save Lives and Come Home i believe is the motto to this amazing story.

I recommend this movie to anyone in hopes that everyone that sees it will have the same feelings that i do for the movie.

    5/5
