Very high ratings there! Haven't watched it, but learned a lot about this. I get uncomfortable watching movies covering 'disease' I hardly watch them. But Thanks for reminding me, Thumbs up! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Actually watched this while my wife had a cancer scare. It is funny in-between the drama enough to not get too heavy. And there is a good ending. Thanks Sarfaraz. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I am sorry to hear about that, same thing has happened to my sister. That's why I avoid watching such movies, totally manipulate entertainment. My prayers for you and your beloved wife. Take care 1 Replies | Report Abuse I thought it was pretty good, but not enough for a 90% =P. Great review! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks Dave. I just likes it that much. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Great review. I thought the entire movie just felt empty, and it's ironic the more they tried to make it heartfelt the more distant and strange it got. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks DD. Totally agree. Didn't stop more sequels. Just most of them direct to DVD. 1 Replies | Report Abuse At least now we have the option to turn the TV off. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I only seen the first American Pie, it was alright. I remember one time a girl asked me in a baking class if I would help her bake a pie, I had no idea how to take that because of the first movie. 1 Replies | Report Abuse LOL, at the risk an experience either way, it could have been worth a yes. I think some of these movies have warped our fragile little minds. Thanks for reading. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Nice review...I didn't like it all, I am more of fan first and second films. Thumbs up! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks Sarfaraz. I agree. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I never was a fan of this series, it just seemed that all these characters cared about was sex. I attempted to see The Naked Mile, but it wasn't all that funny. Good review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse It's not one of my favorite series either. Nothing you exactly put any energy to find and watch. Thanks CM. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I can't imagine going to video store and asking for "Another Gay Movie", this sounds like it belongs in the porn section of a video store. I wonder if they'll ever be a comedy that doesn't completely stereotype gays. 1 Replies | Report Abuse This was actually one among several movies purchased at Suncoast a few years back. The blame of choice goes to my wife this time. I absolutely agree with you. Thanks CM. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Gay or not gay - this movie sucks! Thumbs up for the review! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Agreed. Thanks P.O. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Why is it when something has the word "Movie" in the title its destine to be bad. When will people learn that we don't want comedy like these. 1 Replies | Report Abuse You make a good point. Wait, there was Superman The Movie which was pretty good. I don't know if people will ever learn. Thanks for reading Alex. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I am not fan gay movies, and I haven't seen any so far. Thanks for solidifying my belief on this, by giving this beautiful review of bad movie. If gays could make me laugh, I shall be distributing sweets among children. Thumbs up ! 1 Replies | Report Abuse There have been a few in the past that were really good. But usually it turns out to be more of a drag movie like Some Like It Hot. If I find that movie, I will let you know. Thanks Sarfaraz. 0 Replies | Report Abuse This looked stupid enough, even though I'd never heard of it. Great review. Wanna see a great gay comedy? I highly recomend "The Kids Are All Right", which is as hilarious as smartly written, and is certainly one of the best movies I have ever seen. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks Dave. I'll have to check out The Kids. Although I thought it was more of a drama. Just avoid this if you get the chance. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

The old campy Batman was always a great spot of comedy, I mean would have guess Batman had Shark repellent in his chopper. The classic theme also brings back some good laughs, nicely written MMB. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks CM. There was nothing it seemed that Batman couldn't do back in the day. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I loved it lots, it keeps Batman factor in its true skin! Thumbs up 1 Replies | Report Abuse I couldn't agree more. More Batman! Thanks GF. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I loved the TV series when I was eight years old. Right now I can barely watch it, let alone the movie. IDK, I guess I'm just too immersed in Nolan's realistic vision of the story to like something like this. Still, it's work to check it out, and the villains in these series are awesome. Great review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I have a hard time with the series as well. The movie was a lot easier to handle. Burton and Nolan's versions are just a different class and quality. Thanks Dave. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I'm glad you liked it. I was personally disappointed. Expected more from Pixar, especially with such juicy stuff, like you said, they could have done rather too much with a great premise and scenario. Particularly the storyline felt too dragged and ridiculous for me. Never saw why the mother had to become a bear or the lazy way Merida meets the witch and purchases stuff from her. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I can only guess that the story comes from an old tale or legend. But where story lacked, I enjoyed the animation. It all worked for me. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I enjoyed it for it's wonderful animation, main character, and often funny moments. But it just didn't work emotionally for me. And I found the movie's focus on womens rights and arranged marriages kind of odd. I mean, are those really issues anymore. Great review though. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I can only guess that they found an old story and brought it to life. I think we're all agreed that Pixar can make deeper stories. Thanks Seth. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I this far less than Pixar other movies. It's more childish and lack the depth of say something like Up or even Monster Inc. It's around the level of Cars, not bad, but not good either. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Haven't seen this yet, I'm more into Spielberg more personal work like Empire of the Sun. Nice review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I love his style and work with light. Still, if you ever do see it, I just have to read your review. Thanks CM. 0 Replies | Report Abuse It was an unexpected day, and I was actually having lunch when this film played on some Middle-Eastern channel on television. I like your review on lighting in movie. Thumbs up 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thank you Sarfaraz. It made an impression on me. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Deeply inspired review. I can't believe I have not seen this yet. Spielberg is still one of my favorites. 1 Replies | Report Abuse It's one of those that grew up with that I thought was ok. Now I love it. There was more to the movie than I realized. Thanks Dave. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I'm one who never got into medical thrillers, it always seems they focus on the disease too much and forget about the human element in it. I'll take your word that it's good, but having some sort of personal connection would have been great. Nicely written! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks CM. I preferred the more gripping 'Outbreak' to 'Contagion'. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I want to present my view here for the film. Soderbergh has deceived many good actors in some his latest rubbish movies. This film doesn't give us characters who we believe, might change the course of scenario. I thought Marion should be doing something, but no, I thought Lawrence should do something but no, I thought Kate should do something but no, I thought Matt should do something but no, I thought Jude should do something but no. Well then why an urge to waste brilliant cast, why not cast n 1 Replies | Report Abuse Wow, nice view. And you definitely make several valid points. There was so much more that could have been done with character development. Instead, the whole story feels more hopeless and takes itself too serious. 0 Replies | Report Abuse A fully describing review. My thoughts on the film are exactly those. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks Dave. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Although I disagree I can see your point. Good review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I'm glad you liked it. I watched it twice hoping to find something new the second. Thanks Sebastian. 0 Replies | Report Abuse It's an interesting romantic comedy... still fall into various cliches. It's ok for me.. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Agreed. I think I was hoping for something a little different. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Still can't get over that you gave girl interrupted 90 and this only 60 lol. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Sorry, I might be willing to go to 70 because of some of the creative dialogue. But it's just missing that special something I like in movies. I'm just weird. 0 Replies | Report Abuse If I ever see this, my guess is that it will be because of Emma Stone's presence. Anyway, I thought Steve Carrel was pretty funny in the trailers. 1 Replies | Report Abuse It's definitely worth it for the performances. I just wasn't impressed with the film. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I didn't even know the 60s has any comic adaptation aside from Superman. I tried watching MST3K, but I never really got into it but I do see some appeal to it for the audiences. I comic adaptations are already over the top in their own way, but this sounds more than the usual standard. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Very artsy. I found it On youtube and i wouldnt mind seeing à remake of this one. 0 Replies | Report Abuse The first time I saw this was in MST3K, I thought the show was okay but I got to see the movie itself without the commentary. It's not as action packed as most comic book movies, but it's a good way to spent some time. I also think The Phantom with Billy Zhane, I think that's his name, had a similar costume to Diabolik. 1 Replies | Report Abuse It does have some similarities. The Phantom is still a very popular comic in many countries. I wouldn't mind this being remade again with more of a story, and stll with the 60s style. Thanks Alex. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Do agree it hasn't aged well. It follows the slasher formula pretty closely as you mention. Though, it is sad where the series headed afterwards. It just forgot what made Jason popular. I wonder if the Carrie remake will get the same treatment as the Friday the 13th remake. Nicely written MMB. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I seem to remember that I liked part 2 back in the day, because the heroin faught back pretty good at the end. But this was just blah. Thanks CM. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Nice review! It's really strange: Everyone seems to have seen the Friday the 13th movies, but I haven't met anyone that actually likes any of them. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks Jordan. It is weird. I'll be watching the others that were made as well. If nothing else, with a little bit of distance, they can be entertaining. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Nice review... thumbs up! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thank you P.O. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I never like this series. I was more of a Krugger. I remember going to school where the playground would be full with Jason and Krugger waiting to go to war on Halloween. Though to Jason credits, he does kill annoying teenagers which is somewhat okay since it's a fictional film. 1 Replies | Report Abuse It's easier to like a smart ass as opposed to the silent type 0 Replies | Report Abuse Excellent review! I agree that sometimes we don't really have character development in horror films, so you end up not caring for them. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Believe it or not, I saw this in its original release. I literally can still remember it. I was about 15. I can see your critique, but this movie was a shattering experience. It really picked up where 'Halloween' left off. But many of us hadn't seen 'Halloween.' The real beginning of the slasher movement was this one. It was like a catharsis for my generation. An explosive letting-go. We'd never seen horror like this. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I remember seeing it when it came out too. Thing my tastes have changed a little though. The original Halloween blew me away when it was new. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I had troubled buying into this movie, mostly because how young Saoirse Ronan looks. But she's not a bad actress, hopefully The Host will get her more famed. 1 Replies | Report Abuse That might have been the reason I wasn't as taken by the movie more than I was. I liked her performance, but maybe it was just bad casting. Thanks for reading CM 0 Replies | Report Abuse Nice review. I didn't like this movie. I saw it paranoiac, biased and stupid. There's a very similar film called "Salt", which I believe was almost perfect when compared to this. Still, I appreciate your points. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks Dave. I can understand how this movie was not for you. Guess I will have to see Salt. I usually like movies others don't. I don't know why. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I gave it low ratings because of a women/girls in action always make me sick because it is so unrealistic to believe and this is only on the part of Western women in action genre, but I do love to see women from Asian cinema like Michelle Yeun, Cynthia Khan, and many more are worth believing. But We all have different taste. I am more happy that you did find it quite entertaining. Thumbs up! 1 Replies | Report Abuse I can see your point of view. That doesn't bother me so much. If it was a heartless woman without any personality, then I would not like it. I just like the characters behind the action. Thank you Sarfaraz. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I remember taking my editor little brother to see this, he had a crush on the actress and I thought Miley Cyrus was going be in it so I just took him to see it out of good nature. To my surprise, it didn't have Miley Cyrus which is a good thing since she would have made this movie into a joke and I just can't imagine her beating up people convincingly. Thankfully it wasn't as awful as I was expecting. 1 Replies | Report Abuse That would have been halarious. She fits better in with movies co-starring Demi Moore called LOL. Can't imagine a better title of a movie for her. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Sounds like some of my high school friends. He even went as so far to sell "Moon Pies" which is self explanatory for drug heads. I might see this for some nostalgic values on my high school years. Though I don't think I want to be reminded of the time I ran away from a mobbed of angry teen husbands lol. Or that one time my ex father chased me after me after breaking up with his daughter. Ah high school...crazy times indeed. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Definitely crazy times. Now I want a moon pie, lol. If you see this, it might help if you have a few drinks first, or some other "medication". 0 Replies | Report Abuse Kinda reminds me of that terrible Snoop Dogg high movie. Didn't like that one and doubt I'll this one. Maybe good for a drunk night. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Haven't seen the Snoop Dog movie. But I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same kind of humor. But for a drunk night, perfect! 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Hulk (2003) |
10/04/12 |
30% |

While I agree that the overall quality of this 'Hulk' isn't greatly up to par, this IS a very good look at Bruce Banner as a character. Jekll and Hyde is a classic tale and the Hulk has always been an action version of that. Ang Lee tried to make it a bit artsy and ultimately it failed. ALSO: Graphic Novels are not the same as a Comic Book. Graphic Novels can be their own stand alone 80+ page chapter comic book. A comic book is a single issue of a series. A trade is a collection of a story arc 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks for reading. I agree that there is a different dimension in motion pictures opposed to any novels and that the character of Banner is well developed. However, as a movie on it's own, it lags to the point of keeping the viewers intrest, as well as the buildup of suspense. The conlict is there for the story. But by the time you're supposed to care about them, the story has already become tired. I loved the picture composition, but it took all my energy to try to get through this movie. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Depends on expectations... you expected too much... I didn't at all... and wasn't too bad for me at the end. Thumbs up for the review! 1 Replies | Report Abuse I guess I did. I understand the buildup. I think the timing was a bit off for me. Thanks P.O. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Good review. I fell asleep when I saw this on theaters, although I was woken up by the constant shots throughout the film. There's a reason why they remade this even before Spider-Man... IDK, I'm not good for these type of superhero flicks. It usually turns out really good or terrible. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks Dave. I really wanted to like this. I really did. It just felt too drawn for what it was trying to do. 0 Replies | Report Abuse When it first came out I was expecting an action packed movie but got something entirely different. After a second viewing I liked it a little more and appreciate that movie exploring Banner daddy issues. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I'm sure one day I will see it again. Just too much time in the drama department to get to the point. Thanks CM. 0 Replies | Report Abuse No man, you gotta re-watch this movie, Ang Lee's this movie was a lesson for directors like Christopher Nolan to take comic-heroes seriously. We should not expect Hulk to go on rampage from start till the end; rather we love to see how scientifically things start to matter for his evolution. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Someday I probably will. I have no problems with the drama and the buildup of the characters. The hulk himself did show humanity in the film which to me was good. There was just too much dead time in the movie weather it was about the characters or waiting for the hulk to go ballistic. It was almost like a Frankenstein tale for me. The animation....yuck! 0 Replies | Report Abuse Agreed; this was just a mess, not to mention the inexplicable usage of empty split screen montages which were just a huge turn-off. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I guess it was supposed to give the comic book effect. But for two and a half hours, it can get very redundant. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Excellent review! This film was really bad indeed. After that giant poodle fighting scene, I almost gave up watching it. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |
