I hated this movie. No, I was NOT expecting an oscar worthy drama. I knew that it was a simple revenge flick. i was ready for some nice mindless action. Here is why this movie is crap. THERE IS NO ACTION! The Rock just goes into rooms, shoots people in the head, repeats. That's all. The trailer made it look like there would be car chases, shootouts, and fistfights. Not really. The closest thing to a fight scene was 10 seconds. All of the shootouts were guys getting shot in the head and the only

even tho ur paragraph got cut partially I know what ur gettin at....I was a little bummed the first time I saw this for the same feelings as you...then I watched it again about a week later and thought Dwayne actually did a good job giving his character enough of an arc without having typical "mindless" violence...keep in mind i'm also grading this movie on a curve...I've rated other, better, movies an 80%, but compared to other films that seem like they bomb straight to dvd, i was impressed

I get what you mean about a gritty, realistic feel in the 4th paragraph, but honestly, it could have been more....exciting. I mean I don't see how a potentially badass knife fight scene is better when it's over in 20 seconds. Still, I liked the movie...well sorta. Ironically, I was expecting the movie to have good action scenes to make up for a bad story, but it actually had a good story that made up for the bad action scenes
