Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder have British accents. A wolf has sex with a woman. Enough said.

This film is not such much of a sci-fi film as a comment on society. Bowie does an excellent job of portraying an other-wordly creature who becomes completely enamored with humanity and begins to fall victim to all our various vices. While the film does tend to use Bowie as a fallback for the underdeveloped plot, it is visually stunning and thought provoking.

The viewer is put to the test as they slowly discover who "the idiots" actually are. This can be seen as a "big issue" movie, but that is Dogme 95's way of messing with us. The film isn't supposed to be controversial and it isn't supposed to tug at our heartstrings. It is presented so that the viewer may reevaluate their own actions within society.

Festen is the epitome of the Dogme 95 manifesto. Of course it breaks some of the rules, but all of them do. Quite literally making the private public with the use of a digital camera, Vinterberg gradually breaks down the facade of the patriarchal family.

In this film, Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are great character actors given uninteresting characters. While both attempt to find some distinctive characteristic to cling to, the script does nothing to help them. The film has an identity crisis amidst the unconventional camera angles and prolonged chase scenes.

I loved the movie. I am fan of both Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Although some of the movies facts were twisted thanks to Hollywood the movie was take from the book Public Enemies by Bryan Burrough. Johnny Depp as John Dillinger was pure perfection if you have seen any of the news clips of the real John Dillinger, you can see Depp walks like him, talks like, and smiles like him. The only difference is Johnny is taller, older, and 100% cuter than Dillinger. Christian Bale did a great job for h

If you loved Labyrinth, you'll love MirrorMask. While it doesn't live up to earlier Henson Company movies, Lisa Henson does an excellent job of channeling her father. People seem to focus on the visuals, but the real heart of the story is quintessentially Henson.

Adapting a movie from a simple children's story is a feat indeed. However, this is not a movie for children. This is a movie for nostalgic young adults. While children can and have enjoyed the story, it is far too depressing and morose to live up to the catchy music and fun-loving atmosphere of the advertisements.

This film is 95% anticipation and 5% pure horror. The beginning is excruciating to watch, and while the payoff is terrifying--I'm not sure it was worth it.

Facing every obstacle in using puppets, animals, humans and babies, Jim Henson hits the mark with this film. With elements of childhood fantasy, teenage angst, and romantic interludes this movie is fit for all ages. With an awesome soundtrack by David Bowie, this film cannot be missed!
