This movie had a terrible script I mean it was despicable. Someone died and their last words were "Tell mother I love her." Really? Come on... It starts off a dark psychological drama and then turns into a fantasy adventure in which there are Nazis and Evil Dragons and other things that obviously need to be killed. It then jumps back into this disturbing reality in which they are all almost raped by evil men. Also, we see her go into a medical asylum then suddenly it's a brothel. The story is almost non-existent and where it does exist it makes no sense and unexplained. So, her mother dies then she is put into an asylum by her father and wants to get out. She finds a secret world by dancing in which she is instructed by some guy to get items which will help her get out. Her friends join in the fun in this imaginary world and get the items in the real world. So, are they also in the imaginary world or are they just in her imagination. The conflict in the story, one of the girls has doubts about whether they should carry on. Then everyone dies. Due in part to the bad script and story the entire movie had a round of bad performances except for Jena Malone who seemed to be the only believable character. You could of taken 3/4 of the script and used it for a completely different movie. It tries to be deep but is really just a bunch of stuff about the oppression of women and that all men are horrible rapists apart from bus drivers.Furthermore, what type of audience is this aimed at anyway. Although it has hot girls and awesome action it also contains the themes of rape and prostitution. I mean are they aiming for younger people or teenagers to adults or what? Then they kill off the characters in the order of how awesome they were. Therefore, you have a movie about oppression and then everyone dies. I also think the Wise Man(Guy who was their leader in the other universe) should have been Leonard Nimoy. I repeat once again the botched script. Every single script cliché was in this movie. There were a few good points though: the action was so great; I mean just so great,I would of preferred a less serious story and just more ass kicking or vice versa, the soundtrack was amazing it was like old songs remixed into epic modern ass-kicking music; I won't buy the movie but I will buy the soundtrack for sure, the special effects were in the top 10 I have ever seen, I liked the special effects in this movie more than those in Avatar.
This movie is a bad mix of a thriller story and a comedic epic fantasy. They also make the serious story comedic at some points. Make up your damn minds! The script ultimately lets this movie down in what could of been an awesome hard out action movie. It is a confused mess which is also slightly disturbing. If you think this movie will be good to see for the hot girls it depends. Personally, I found the implied and attempted rape as well as brothel in which the movie was set something which destroyed even the good looks of the lead women.
Acting=Terrible(except Jena Malone)
Story= Confused, stupid and unsure of it's self
Special Effects= Epic
4/10 or 40% The story is missing though the special effects and action win they don't make up for the rest of the messed up and confused movie.

A great movie although it does miss out some historical events it is still a beautiful and fascinating film. Contains some very good performances from most of the cast including Benicio Del Toro. Captures the essence of Guerilla warfare and Cuba during the revolution very well. Shows how Che Guevara handled problems and portrayed him very well. Surprisingly all the actors look just like their characters, apart from Benicio Del Toro, but if you look at Camilo Cienfugos in the movie and see a photo of him its slightly creepy. I do feel that it could of showed more of Che Guevara's back story, flashbacks maybe? The scenes jumping to him in the US are sometimes boring and can also be confusing. I think this is a good movie which keeps the audience entertained for the most part and delivers an interesting account of Che Guevara during the Cuban Revoultion and afterwards.

I've watched this movie about 15 times and the first 14 were brilliant, getting better each time, but only on the 15th watch of this movie did I find it boring. Funny but i would of rather had a different storyline. Most of the story is based out of Springfield so we don't see much of the characters we all know and love. It took some of the bad from the series and left some of the good out. The Simpsons is one of the greatest TV shows ever but I feel they shouldn't have tried to make the movie different in the way they did. The storyline being out of Springfield was probably not the best idea. Rather than changing the setting, they should of changed the plot to make it less predictable and different to almost every Simpsons episode.Homer is only an idiot for half the movie before realizing his mistake and doing the usual apologize to Marge and try to make everything better.
Funny movie but a predictable ending and different from the TV series in a bad way rather than a good one. However, it does contain classic Simpsons humor and drama making it a great movie that most people will enjoy.
