I know how you feel, but I think the most disturbing adaptation of a children's book is The Cat in the Hat, the most depressing family film is Nukie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lulOis7T0Tw) and the worst film I've seen at the cinema this year is a tie between Transformers 2 and 2012, although Space Buddies is still the worst film of any release this year. ;P 1 Replies | Report Abuse The cat in the Hat should have been a horror film instead. Would have been alot better! 2012 is bad and Transformers 2 is just Eye Candy. Havent seen Space Buddies but I can imagine!!!! 1 Replies | Report Abuse About Transformers 2; how is John Tuturro showing off his ass in front of the audience eye candy? 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thank you! Your not alone on the island of misfits amateur movie critics who also hated this film. Read my review. 0 Replies | Report Abuse That's what I liked about it. Why do you demand traditional narrative structure? Isn't 99.9% of movies being the same enough for you? The book had about half a page of writing in it, when you combine it all, so how could they follow the book?Anyway, it's not that you hated a great masterpiece or anything, but you trash a movie for not being yet another Disney formula flick. If they put Tim Allen in it, added some fart jokes and had a deep revelation scene to spell out the moral o 1 Replies | Report Abuse trust me I think this movie is alot better itself than Tim Allen is as a person. But its not the fact I hated it being differnt. It was how it was structured. It was childish and yet depressing at the same time. I honestly couldnt get into the movie. I love differnt takes on movies. Kind of like Return to Oz. But the conflicts in it just didnt entertain me. The biggest thing for me when it comes to movies is entertainment. I believe it can make or break a movie. I felt none of it here. Just my o 0 Replies | Report Abuse |
