My thoughts on the upcoming live-action, "Dead Space", movie

Today in Hollywood, not only book's and anime are being adapted into live-action flicks, but videogames are starting to turn into live-action films. One of them is an adaptation on one of my favorite videogames, "Dead Space".

Dead Space, is a third-person horror shooter about a group of people going to the ship, Ishimura. Once they arrive, they discover that everyone on the ship has been killed by some creatures known as, the Necromorphs. You control an engineer named, Isaac Clarke, and you have to battle tons of Necromorphs. It's also a great game and worth playing. It's on PS3, XBOX 360, and PC.

Back in July 2009, D.J. Caruso (Director of, "Eagle Eye", "Disturbia", and "I Am Number Four) was working with EA Games, producers, and screenwriters to work on a story and once there done with the story, they will sell the rights to a studio. Last year, he said he has an idea for the story. His idea for the story is... A prequel.

There's not alot information about the project, but my thoughts is that i'm a bit skeptical. Because when it come's to Hollywood adapting videogames, they suck. Also, I don't think it should be a prequel because when Dead Space came out, there was an animated prequel released straight-to-DVD. It would be nice to know what happened before Isaac and his crew arrived on the Ishimura, but I prefer having a movie based on the game and not a prequel. I also hope all of the Necromorphs will be in the game. I don't know who should play Isaac Clarke in the movie.

Sorry, if this blog is pretty short. Because like I said, "There's not alot of information". I do hope the movie will be good. That's all I have to say and see you guy's later.

Interesting stuff. If they do remake the game into a feature film, I think it would fare no better that any other film based on video game made in todays universe. If Caruso could possibly pull it all off, I think it would at lest be worth seeing. A fine point made sir. Keep up the great work and have a wonderful weekend. Thanks, come back and see me.
