Great review Connor!I agree, I really liked this movie! got sucked in the story so much that at one point, when the joker was bringing havok to Gotham I honestly felt the rush, excitement, like "omg, this truly is a mad man! what is he gonna do next?"Last super hero movie character that made me feel like that was the Penguin in Batman Returns.

Don't get me wrong, love the film. What did you think of Havey Dent's turn?
on 12/17/09 at 06:08 AM
The fact that the joker doesn't die at the end of the dark knight but only gets caught leads me to believe that the studio might have had plans to bring the joker back in future movies unfortunately due to ledgers death i no longer see that as a possibility due to the fact that i don't see anyone excepting another actor playing the role of the joker heath ledgers performance was one that can not be topped and shouldn't even be attempted

They did have plans to keep the joker. I'm sure u would of saw him in the asylum
on 12/24/09 at 02:50 AM
while i fully agree that ledgers performance was nothing short of brilliant i will disagree with you on your final statement. prior to jack nicholsons performance the joker hadn't been recast for years. i believe theres always a way you could have done something better. i wish we wouldve gotten another round with ledgers joker but i wouldnt be surprised if we saw a new face under the make up. joker is batmans lead villain and we all know legends never die.

well there are two actors who come to mind who might be able to play the joker and get by with it,, one is Johnny Depp,,his performance of Captain Jack Sparrow in the pirate's movie was sooo over the top and sooo great that he might be able to pull it off,,, and the other is Ed norton he is one of my favorite actors and he is so talented and versatile that he might be able to pull it off but any actors performance of the joker is always going to be compared to ledgers and that is going to be a v

I totally agree with what you have said in your review. It was a masterpiece.

Great review, amazing film.

My favorite Super hero movie of all time Is Superman the movie.......but this was really good. Heath was extraordinary.Nice review.

I don't know if it's darker than any comic book should be....but great review. Thought Heath Ledger tapped into something new and exciting that I had never seen an actor use. However, I would rather sit through Catwoman again, than not being able to skip every Christian Bale scenes...like pulling teeth with that guy...

congrats on review of the day, however i cant tell you how much i disagree with the review. i really hated this film, too long, boring, over-rated.

Really? Okay, overrated I can understand. Too long? Bit of a stretch, a lot of movies out there are longer, but also understandable. But boring? If you think this movie is "boring", you should have your pulse checked.
on 12/17/09 at 02:46 PM
dont get me wrong, i do love action movies, i liked batman begins, i was just completely disinterested in this movie, it took itself way to seriously for its own good. there were only two good things about it, the score, which is amazing, and one good scene with the bike charging down the joker, who is chanting 'hit me' this was the only point in the movie where i was convinced that he was a madman, the rest was very average.
on 12/17/09 at 03:20 PM
TRUE THAT! the only thing going for this movie was heath. and now he's dead. This movie was way too boring, incomprehensibly convoluted plot (partially because they had to rearrange some story after ledger's death) and completely unimpressive performance by everyone but the joker. "i'm not wearing hockey shorts" ? really? really you guys? bale was so obnoxious and overdone i don't even know how i made it through the whole thing. and yes it was boring. the action sequences were mediocre at best.
on 12/17/09 at 03:30 PM
i also am amazed i made it through the whole thing, in fact half way through i had a very strong urge to leave and demand my money back
on 12/18/09 at 01:50 PM
The line was "I'm not wearing hockey pads." If you're going to quote a movie, at least get it right.
on 12/18/09 at 04:07 PM
ha yeah okay now i see the light, hockey pads. the movie's awesome now.
on 12/18/09 at 11:16 AM
read my review of it. it has a record of 22 thumbs down.
on 12/18/09 at 03:17 PM
great review man! the only thing i can add was that i found the pace muddled to say the least, waaaay to slow in some areas, much to fast in others, very badly constructed movie, it handles itself on screen even worse than the original script might have been
on 12/17/09 at 02:39 PM
You have captured exactly what I love about this movie here, dark and brilliant. Heath ledger really was amazing wasn't he?
on 12/17/09 at 02:51 PM
Great review. I didn't enjoy the film(I'm in the minority), but this was a great review.

of course, amazing review for an amazing film.

Great film this. Didn't think it was the best of the genre. Top 3 for me, equaling Spider-Man and Batman Begins.
on 1/23/11 at 07:30 AM
I would have given the film 100% myself, but that's me. Good review
