Below I've listed my oscar pics for this year. Some of them are choices that I want to win, but I can guess that based on how society works today, they'll all probably go to Avatar or Up in the Air.
P.S. I've only given honest pics to awards I care about. All the others I just guessed on. Best Picture: District 9 Best Director: James Cameron (Avatar) Best Actor: Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) Best Actress: Gabory Sidebe (Precious) I didn't see any of these movies, but I heard she was good. Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz (Basterds) Again, didn't see any of these, but heard he was good. Best Supporting Actress: Mo'Nique (Precious) Once more, I don't care but i heard she was good. d of any of 'em Best Original Screenplay: The Hurt Locker Best Adapted Screenplay: District 9 Best Art Direction: Sherlock Holmes Best Cinematography: Harry Potter 6 Best Costume Design: THe Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus I'm not gonna bother listing either documentary awards because I don't know nor do I care. Best Editing: District 9 I think the documentary style of the beginning sold this one. Best Foreign Language Film: THe White Ribbon I didn't know they had a live action short category, but I don't care. Best Makeup: Star Trek Best Original Score: Sherlock Holmes Best Original Song: That one from Crazy Heart, can't remember the name. Best Sound Editing: I don't know what you have to do to win this one so I'll just throw it to the Hurt Locker. Best Sound Mixing: Transformers 2 Again, don't know what it is, but Transformers had some good white noise. Best Visual Effects: Oh God, just kill me now, they were all so good, but I love District 9, so I'll just go with that. |

Great predictions. The academy really screwed up by not nominating Nolan... again

He's probably going to do another one in another 2 years that just eclipses his last two, and he'll win everything.

No brainer on TS3. I really REALLY hope that Portman wins for Black Swan but The Kids are Alright was pro-gay so...uh-oh. I would actually be alright with Black Swan winning Best Picture to be honest. It was amazing.
