In the end though, even if she was asked to kill the prince, she refused and that effectively broke the spell. And they lived happily ever after, well, except her sisters.
So you see it's about this poor mistreated girl (by her sisters) who finally ends up with her prince charming. How can you get anymore Cinderella than that?
Her prince finally comes back for her like she foretold; he has comes to bring her back, but does she want to?
Her last request was to attend the King and Queen's Ball in the real world. She did not have anything to wear so Morgan (Robert's daughter) went shopping with her using her emergency credit card. That was when Robert finally saw her, in her evening gown and not some sewed on fairy tale outfit, but is it too late?
As per Snow White, she was handed an apple that would have killed her if she wasn't given true love's kiss. Her prince kissed her repeatedly but to no avail, so they made Robert try, and she woke up. That's true love for you. The witch turned into a ferocious dragon and kidnapped Robert, so it was Giselle to the rescue leaving her glass slipper behind. In the end of course they defeated evil and lived happily ever after in New York.
So what about her prince? Well don't feel too sad for him, he still ended up with someone. The glass slipper Giselle left behind still ended up in someone else's foot, Robert's ex-girlfriend. So they both went back and got married in Andalasia, and everyone got their happy ending.
I guess the main Cinderella points here are the transformation from fairy tale outfit to evening gown that got Robert's eyes popping, and when she left her glass slipper to run after him.
She then gets treated to a life she never knew existed, all the luxuries she never experienced with an unlimited credit card with her dad. In time though, her wild antics caused an uproar that threatened the political career of Henry, so she decided to lie low and become the perfect lady. She thought this was worth it as all she ever dreamed about is to dance with him on her birthday.
The day finally arrived when Daphne was given a huge ball just for her, but when it was time for the father-daughter dance, her step sister went in the way.
Daphne felt all her dreams shattered and decided to go home with her mom who went with her to the ball. At about this time, her dad Henry found out that his political adviser knew that he had a daughter that made him decide to retreat his campaign as Senator and leave his political adviser, fiance, and step daughter to bite the dust.
So Henry came back again and married Libby, the love of his life and mother of his daughter. Even Daphne got her happy ending with Ian who decided to forgive her when she went back to being herself again.
Could this be any more Cinderella? Finding the father that she never knew existed and access to unlimited credit? And finding her prince charming who can play guitar in the process to boot? You bet it is.
So what's a princess without a prince? You'd think she'd choose the hottest guy in school when he took interest, but no. She went instead with a commoner, her best friend's brother Michael who is part of a band and someone whom she liked all along.
So yeah Laney totally found out about the bet but one way or another Zack was able to make up for it so they still ended up happily together.
