9 years ago, the first installment of the huge movie franchise adapted from the huge book franchise was released.
This movie had a huge "magical" feeling in it. It may not have been that exciting because it has to explain the characters and the story, but this film really lacked Action. The quiddich scene was great, and so were the last 30 minutes or so, and it had very good special effects when it was released... But it dragged a bit.
The child actors did a pretty good job, excpept Daniel Radcliffe looked like he was a little uncomfortable in his role. Tom Felton did an awesome job, at the little s*** head draco, and Emma Watson certainly did make a splash as the smart ass nerd Hermione. But its not about the child cast in this one. Harry Potter and the Sorceror's stone features some of the best british cast out there, including Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman,Richard Harris and Robbie Coltrane.
The film is pretty much enjoyable for all ages, and features some funny parts, so it defintiley worth a look
