Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010)
40%My expectation was too high, way too high for this sequel of a great Oliver Stone's movie. The movie was build on a good, if not great, premise about ... More

Great review. :) 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thank you. :-) 0 Replies | Report Abuse Oh, thanks for reminding me - I loved this film!. Nice review btw, you do have a point on the depth of the story, or a lack thereof. 1 Replies | Report Abuse If you like this kind of musical (and dance) movie, I recommend "Tango" to you. Thank you. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Well I don't think it could ever be better than 8 1/2, and one has to like musicals. Great review! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thank you very much, CheapMonk. 0 Replies | Report Abuse interesting, ill look into seeing this. nice review 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks a lot, Erik. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Nce Review, though I always find musicals a bit hit or miss. 1 Replies | Report Abuse True. The Broadway version with Raul Julia as Guido is way better than this movie. It's like another case of The Phantom of the Opera, the movie version failed. 0 Replies | Report Abuse This has been pretty much panned. Sounds like it's not god-awful. Good review.... 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks a lot, Bob. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Nice review Van. Even though this has an impressive cast but never appealed to me to check it out. Thumbs up 1 Replies | Report Abuse It has enough fun and dances and songs to make me see it twice, to find something more than the first viewing. I found nothing more. Thanks a lot, halimali. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Excellent review, have yet to see this one. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Good review i might check this one out. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I can only congratulate someone give Akira a perfect score, and grant your review with a 10. The story in the book is better and makes more sense and the movie only tells of a weird adaptation of the first half of it, Still, I love it... And still dream someone will make that dream bike for real during my lifetime 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thank you very much, CheapMonk. About the bike, I still can't decide, this one or the one from FF VII: Advent Children. :-) 1 Replies | Report Abuse I was so young when I saw Akira (20 years ago), and you can't replace such a childhood's dream. In advent children, I'd rather use the dragon's back ('Behemot?' thing) as a way of transportation. 1 Replies | Report Abuse When I was a pre-teen I read the manga and thought the movie wasn't at all remarkable in comparison. I grew up with anime of all sorts, so this was flashy (and unnecessarily violent) nonsense for me, even at that age. Having seen it since, my opinion has only gone down :-/. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I can understand your sentiment, Esteban. I stated that "Akira "is a great Nihilistic movie, which in the words itself is so contradictory and oxymoronic. It's like saying to a film lover, "If you want to see a Nihilistic movie, go see Akira and you will understand nothing." :-) 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

excellent review Van. Thumbs up man 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks a lot, halimali. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Good review. :)This is like a horror for me, to burn the books: epic disaster, but movie sounds quite interesting. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I actually had a funny feeling when I read the book for the first time. I felt like the book was the last book on earth. The movie can't translate the dreadful yet hopeful feeling like that, but it's pretty great as a movie adaptation. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I never get a chance to read the book, but now I really want, it sounds very good. :) 0 Replies | Report Abuse Great review, sounds interesting! 1 Replies | Report Abuse Please, see and give us your review. :-) 0 Replies | Report Abuse good review, sounds interesting. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks so much, Shane. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I think it's a documentary on the Texas Board of Education's textbook evaluation process. This was an excelelnt book and the movie was a darn good adaptation. Nice review.... 1 Replies | Report Abuse Gyahahahahahahahahahaha. Hilarious comment. Thanks a lot, Bob. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Lol I wouldn't rate this that highI thought it was a little boring, particularly round the end 1 Replies | Report Abuse I can say that the power of the story is in the end. Have you read the novel? The movie is kinda rush itself in the end, so it's not a perfect 100% but still a good adaptation. I can't wait for the newer version which should come any time soon. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I haven't read the novel 0 Replies | Report Abuse Great review for a great film. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks a lot, Jesse. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I'll pass on this film. I would have no sympathy for any of the characters anyway. Nice review...
