It has emotion, suspense, and all the film essentials including Kubrick's creepy flair instead of overdone violence, predictability, and emotionless acting. I have seen this movie. In fact, I've seen 2 different versions. One was the Magnet dvd release with replaced subtitles. The second was the one with the original subtitles. I found out it existed after wondering why it had some bad reviews on Amazon. Apparently the Magnet dvd company didn't want to pay the cost of the original subtitles so they hired their own people to do it. There is a difference. My complaints (I am not going to even try a review at this point since most of us are swimming in them) are that the first 20 minutes were very boring. It did not help set the story up nor give any background to the characters. Second, because of that, I had absolutely no emotional interest in the characters.
