Blade Runner is by far one of the most breathtaking and gorgeous movies that you will ever see. Every scene is so artistically crafted, you may be wondering which of these scenes could be considered the best. Here is a guide to which you can distinguish these stand-out scenes:
5.Rachel's voight kampf test. This is early on in the movie and it is right after the great effects sequence where deckard and gaff are shown the pyramidal architechture while the sun rises on the tyrell corporation. we see deckard meet the femme fatale rachel (sean young) and the inquisitive eldon tyrell. We see deckard perform the test used to spot replicants which focuses on pupil dilation and the exfoliation of capillaries through a series of emotion inducing question. The lighting in this scene which barely lets the rising sun peek through the drawn shades is exquisite. Rachel's cigarette lets a thin veil of smoke encompass the room as deckard hopelessly tries to find the true identity of rachel, a very moody and atmospheric scene.
4. Zhora's retirement. This scene follows deckard to track down one of the four replicants loose in LA. It takes him to a club where he has a drink and soon finds the owner of the artificial snake scale he found earlier. After exposing Zhora (the assassin model) we are taken through an intense chase through the crowded streets in which leaves deckard out of breath only until he can air out Zhora in a dramatic and brutal slo-mo killing which sends the target running through plate glass and ending with her dead lying in the rain
3. "You say, kiss me" Deckard is tired after fighting several replicants in his hectic workday he is bloody and tired, but the piano playing by the lovely rachel soon draws him closer to her. He knows she is a replicant, she doesn't know, deckard falls in love with an android, and we see their romance blossom as the passing by cars send a wave of light across the dark apartment and the electronic moans of vangelis' keyboard play the blues.
2."It's too bad she won't live, but then again who does?" The movie has climaxed and we see the hobbling edward james olmos step out of his spinner within the fog and haze of LA we hear him cry out the line above. Deckard rushes home to find rachel still alive but a unicorn origami carefully placed carefully on the ground olmos' line echoes in deckard's head and he escapes with rachel into an uncertain future, and the final cut ends, beautifully
1.Batty's solioquy. After a relentless fight with the dying boss replicant roy batty, deckard is left hanging by one hand on the near-top floor of an apartment building. The seemingly endless rain falls and we see the apparently triumphant batty standing over the defeated hero with a white dove in his hand. Unexpectedly, Batty saves deckard and we hear batty give a poetic summary of his life as a slave. After his ominous speech, the white dove in his hand is let go and he dies the relentless rain ever falling...
It may be my opinion, but i do think that these scenes top in the masterpiece's many great scenes
