For any former JL club cronies at Yahoo, yes, this is the film which made 1977 Disneyland and 1991 Beijing so memorable. "Iceman" cemented me as a sci-fi fan, among other imprints, with its unpredictability, populism, and emotion. Even my normally voluable father could only gripe "Bet that's like Allan Smithee" upon seeing the actor named as its lead. All I could think was amazement that Hollywood could make or 1984 HBO have the brains to show an epic about a silent character as grand as "El Cid."
