A brilliant story, which leaves you feeling like you have learned something about life. The acting and directing are excellent, Stephen King's best story told in the silver screen and beautifully written.

Side Effects is by far the best mystery/suspense movie of the year. The story alone is fantastic and brilliant, with unexpected twist which will keep the audience at the edge of their seats guessing what will happen next.
The cast is fantastic, Jude Law is at his best and played the character doctor Johathan Banks very well. Rooney Mara is also fantastic in this movie as she plays Emily so well that you are not going to expect the truth about her character during the second and third act of the movie. But the person who really did impress me in this film is Channing Tatum as he is bold and plays a serious role and fits the role. I was truly impressed by his acting skills in this movie.

This is the Big daddy of all superhero movies. And most likely yes it is the big daddy of all superheroes. The dark knit rises bring Batman back from his hide out, Wayne Manor when Bane brings a threat to Gotham city.
The story picks up eight years from the events of The Dark Knight, Batman/ Bruce Wayne is left completely broken in spirit after the death of Rachel and district attorney Harvey Dent and the Joker destroying everything he believed in. Bruce has not been seen b the outside world in a while, however things change when a woman Selena Kyle breaks into Wayne's Manor and steals Bruce's fingerprints and his mother pearls. This act brings the greatest detective in Gotham back to life as he becomes more curious about this jewelry thief. The audience does not see the Batman in action at least 40 minutes into the movie.
Christopher Nolan's vision of batman is spectacular and a masterpiece with the anticipation build from The Dark knight, the final chapter is a brilliant story with every expectation of what a great film can contain. Johnathan Nolan and Christopher did an outstanding job with the screenplay. Yes there might have been some issues with the story, I personally, wish that the movie was longer and that they went in depth with Character of Bane who is played by the Muscle man and British actor Tom Hardy.
Han Zimmer has the audience on the edge of their seats as batman roam around the city in the bat as the missiles are tracking him. Christian Bale is the best batman do put on the cape, Anne Hathaway is captive as cat woman, sexy and smart this is not the old chairwoman we once knew. Tom a hardy is threatening and fearful. He brings the movie to a new level as a villain.
The Dark Knight is one of the finest movies of 2012 and probably one the finest superhero movies of all time. With a amazing conclusion to the story and the trilogy, Christopher Nolan proves to be one the best director of our time.
I give the Dark Knight Rises a 5 out 5 or a 10/10 simply a perfect score

Zach Snyder's vision of superman is a new approach t the character. As Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer were involved in the process as producers and the men behind the story. man of Steel is the freshest way to look at the origins of superman and Krypton. The story begins in Krypton as the planet is slowly dying and Jor-El played by Russell Crowes decided to send his new born to a planet to save his son from perishing. However when this is done Jor-El does send his son with an important element of Krypton that could save the planet. General Zod the leader of the rebellion learns of this and threatens that he will find the boy and the element. But Zod is arrested and put into the phantom zone.
This is Zach Snyder best work so far and my favorite Superman movie by far. Russell Crowes an Michael Shannon were definintively the best characters in the movie and prove to have carried the their idea throughout the movie. Though I must say the development of each character was not fully composed which leaves space and change to accomplish the task in the next film. The movie was still strong and a great impact, the story was well scripted and the cinematography was beautiful. However my only complaint was the last stand with Zod, as the fight kept going and going as it would not stop. I felt like they could have slightly reduced it with over-the-top action which seemed to be a bit beyond this world, and since its superman and General Zod going at it I will accept it.
Man of Steel feels different, original, a struggle to Clark Kent to adapt to the world which made him a bit more realistic and less alienated as Hans Zimmer music composition carried the atmosphere o the movie to th no level. Zimmer's version of superman's theme is outstanding and better than John Williams' version. Why? Because the problem with willams theme of superman was similar to the Star Wars theme and I ever liked the similarity, I felt that those two pieces were copycats of each as if John Williams had ran out of imagination. Comparing to Hans Zimmer's version which is fresh, clean and does fit th man with the red cape as he flies up, up and away.
This movie is not perfect and I believe the director is doing so to introduce more with the sequel, such as how does superman acquires the name of superman or the relationship with Miss Lane and even with the introduction a Clark Kent on his first real job. All of these are left untold so the next can improve and be more effective. To be my favorite movie Christopher and David S. Goyer did a fantastic job with the script the cast did a wonderful job. Laurence Fishburne as Perry White shows the idea of how successful a black man can be in the world. The Sound mixing, editing were solid as the visual effect truly blew me away.
Man of Steel gets a 4.5 out of 5 or a 8.3 out of 10.

The Great Gatsby is an incredible, ambitious demostration of F. Scott Fritzgerald novel based in the raring twenties. visually stunning and well directed by Baz Luhrrmann, this film is by far the best and finest film of the year.
the story begins with the character Nick Carraway played by Tobey Maguire who finds himself in New York, living next door of the mysterious rich man, who throws lavashing parties every week. The man's name Jay Gatsby and no one has ever seen him. As Nick finds his way into one of the parties he realizes that he is the only one to have recieved an invitation to the party. He comes to meet the slick fast talker Jay Gastby, who befriends him and tells him his plans of throwing all of these magnifict parties.
The creative world of the 1920 enfolds itself as the movie progresses, each character in the film are well developed and well expressed. Leonardo DiCaprio is fantastic as the main character of the movie. he brings this energetic and profound idea with his performance of why do people do what they do. And sometimes people do things just because of a girl. I was able to find many themes of my own life into this movie, which brought me closer to the movie as it became serious, it became personal. His character is focus on achieving his goal that he is unable to see the flaws surrounding him. Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway leads the story as he narrated the events. There is a major development between these two characters and their friendship, which was almost like a bromance or man crush thing going on. This is probably Maguire's best performance in his career.
Carey Mulligan as Daisy is also magnificent as she describes the character in every single details on the silver screen. Daisy is one of the most complex female character ever created for a novel or adapted screenplay. Her love for a man is strictly viewed through her actions. And in today's word here are many girls like her, who enjoy the flashy lifestyle and fame.
The rest of he cast they all are brilliant and fantastic to watch, they all are entertaining character with so complexity involving their lives.
As the movie reached the climax, I was sold and the laughter faded away. The movie showed the true colors of each character. The movie remains true to the novel until the end with many improvement from the 1926 version of the film. This movie is by far the best love story this year and also one of the best way to kick off the summer blockbuster season.
I give The Great Gatsby a score of 4.5 out five or a 9.4/10.

Bourne Legacy is the story of Aaron Cross that takes place after the events of the last Bourne movie (2007) same as Jason Bourne Aaron cross has amnesia and goes through the same process as Jason Bourne but this time, the C.I.A had already dealt with this type od situation so they hqve taken precautions and are ready for things to get out of hands. however things are not kept under control
Jeremy Renner is outstandng in the movie., as he has been in the ladt several movies that he has startedd in. the story is embelished bu the spundtrack and the rest of the cast that supports the missing elements of creating something origanal and turning it into a pointless plot. Throughout the movie I did try to stay interested the whole time.
The new entry maynot feel the same as Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. It is about the new era and new aproaches in the film, the comic are anything like the fire.
I give this a movie a 2 1/5 start to party.

The movie start with the exposure of the biggest problem and establishes it well that the war of twenty century will be a war on Water, not power of military forces or nuclear power but simply the number natural resource which is known as water.
The theme is relevant and critically catchy, yet also scary that water crisis is happening and soon the earth will no longer have enough water for its population.
My biggest interest is how. A film is put together, the editing and scrip. The script is well developed and the process of the film developing is slow but slow enough. The idea of shifting the subject from water shortage in America to contaminated water in America. With one of my favorite character making an appearance Erin Brockovich lifting the story from standard to what she is known to do, going around and helping people suffering from cancer due to water contamination. The story enfolds as it finally touches the emotional side. The fear of contaminated water growing
As the story comes to a great wrap up, the question is, is there a water shortage around the world or is that the world has become over populated as time advanced in the last last 15 years.
Overall this movie is a great documentary, it may not be the best documentary I have seen but it was a pretty darn good topic to address and a pretty good topic for the next generation to focus on.
I give this movie a score of 3 out of five.

Iron man 3 is the third installemnt in the Marvel Iron man trilogy and this time Tony Stark is facing the Mandarine is known to be the Iron man arch enemy in the comic books and the mandarine comes into the world and takes on the world by cause chaos in different locations across the United States and during one of the attack, Hapy Hogan Star's bodyguard is fatally hurt and after this iron man challenges The Mandarine however things do not go well and Iron Man fails to prevail and his home is attacked. The story goes on with Stark trying to come back as the world thinks of him dead.
The movie starts well with a flashback and establishes the presentation of some charaters, mostly of Guy Pearce (Aldrich Killian) a young scientist who approaches Tony Stark but is quickly rejected. and as the story progresses the plot quickly developes and becomes clear on which path does the movie takes.
The themes in the movie are similar to another superhero film that was release last year, The Dark Knight Rises. The film take on a dark tone of reality and the idea of what a superhero is and the legends that follows the legacy are portrayed about the same way however Iron Man is suppose to be a more fun and not a dark tone of the world where heroes are left broken halfway throug the movie, this is Marvel not DC Universe. but the biggest disappointment comes from the idea of the Mndarine and how the director Shane Black and co wrier Drew Pearce decided to put a twist in to the character can be twken in wo ways, some people might like the twist and fan base might not be amused by how the tdirector decided to turn The Mandarine into a joke, though Dir Ben Kingley gives a great performance as " The Mandarine" I remember sitting and asking myself " Is this for real or is there a second part after this" as the movi reaches the climax and the TRUTH is exposed.
The actions scenes in the movie are well edited with beautiful visual effects which was the only thing that seemed to have kept me interested in the movie. the plot was not as effective as the first Iron Man especially that The Mandarine had been the source of trouble since the first one, but whenever he is presented to the world; he does most of the damage within the first half of the movie and the rest of the movies is about Tony stark putting back together of his armor suit and being turn into a side kick as War Machine now know as Iron Patriot doing most of the work.
Before seeing this film I had many expectations on how is movies would turn out, i came out less satisfied than when I saw the first one but more enterain than after seeing the second one. I like the ending which does remind me of the iead of how The Dark trilogy was concluded. With more disappointment than satisfaction, Iron Man 3 was not the best way to kick off the summer but I rather say Oblivon was a better way to kick the Summer season.
I give Iron Man Three a 3 out of five or a 6.8 out of 10

Oblivion is a science fiction film about two humans jack and Victoria left on Earth to look after drones, machines that are programmed to protect the Earth from any sort of Alien invasion, but things take a turn when a female survivor is found and is saved by Jack from being killed by a drone. Jack embarks into a new adventure that reveals and enfolds many secrets to the characters and the audience which leads him to start doubt the reason why Victoria and him are on Earth.
Director Joseph Kosinski director of Tron: Legacy improve from his last brilliant and visual work to this new edgy and groundbreaking cinematic and well developed screenplay. Tom Cruise's performance is excellent and drives the movie to its finest and the rest of the cast is also worth watching, however the smallest issue I have with this movie is the story behind the resistance group on Earth lead by the character played by Morgan Freeman. There is not much told about them throughout the movie, it is like their existence does not do much to the film only to fight against the antagonist when necessary.
The movie is still entertaining and brilliant. This shows that sci-fi films are still alive and have many ways to be constructed to entertain the world. It has been a while since I have since a sci-fi film as elegant as this; with the ending being the best possible way to eliminate the main antagonist, ?oblivion is beautifully well written script with formidable twisting plots that keeps the audience at jaw dropping. I recommend this movie to anyone. I give Oblivion a 4/5.

This film is critical, simply horrible at attacking the idea of racism but a brilliant epic tale of the Southerners vision of how slavery was dealt with in the south.
Lets look at this portray as a work of art and not in terms of racism. As to be one of the first films to be released; in the year 1915 racism was something African Americans were still dealing. As of today racism has decreased but still alive.
This film is representation of self expression and the belief of what freedom of speech is. I love the main idea behind the composition of the story. The soundtrack at it's early work most likely fitted at the time for this art work, could not be compared to fantastic work of Han Zimmer, Thomas Newman or many more. I think as movie critics we look at the way movies are portrayed even when they are dealing with topics that most people avoid. I applaud D.W. Griffith for his direction of telling this story.
