8/5: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Probably in the top five of anticipated films of the summer for me, I've seen a lot of behind the scenes stuff to it and it looks god damn amazing, the same visual team that did Avatar with a new face director, looks awesome! 9.5/10 8/12: Don't Be Afraid of the Dark Scary trailer, I don't know much of this film except for the teaser, but looks pretty terrifying. 8/10 8/19: Conan The Barbarian 3D Ekkk just another cash grab for a lot of fanbous who will be disappointed to see its a pile of garbage remake. 2/10 8/19: Spy Kids 4 Well here we go again, I really enjoyed the first two Spy Kids and the third was alright, even though Robert Rodriguez is directing this, kind of not excited for this. 7/10 8/26: Final Destination 5 I enjoy the series as a guilty pleasure, really fun deaths and just lots of gore and blood, I liled the last one.jts a lot of fun, so I'm gonna give this a chance. 8/10 Thanks for reading, hopefully you'll see full written reviews for all these movies, have a good summer, enjoy :) |

rise of the apes looks interesting, haven't seen any trailers for the others, so maybe (even though i know Conan 3D is going to be crap so i'll definitely be skipping that one) 0 Replies | Report Abuse Since remakes are supposed to improve the original, and a lot of people didn't like Tim Burton's,this PLANET OF THE APES could work.SPY KIDS 3 sucked because Rodriguez is all about green screen and lame dialogue(with hekp of his children),and this time they aren't kids anymore! The promised the 4th one will be the last, and now we get a 5th FINAL DESTINATION!Only the 1st one was good! 0 Replies | Report Abuse I agree that it looks like they got planet of the apes right this time. I haven't seen the trailer for Afraid of the Dark (I'll be checking it out after this :)). I also agree with Conan being a garbage remake, it just looks silly.. Not really looking forward to Spy Kids, but hey you never know.. And I jumped off the Final Destination wagon as soon as it jumped into the roller-coaster (FD3). If it gets good reviews though I might just have to give it another chance :). 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

7/1: Transformers Dark Of The Moon
With a kick ass super bowl trailer and awesome visuals, this looks like a sequel that might improve but you never know we could have the same schmaltz like Revenge of the Fallen, its back and forth on how I'm gonna rate this movie, but so far it looks incredible and much more clean in action. 9/10 7/8: Zookeeper Kevin James as a zookeper in a family comedy? Might suck balls. 2/10 7/15: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 The most anticipated movie of the year, it better be everything that it needs to be, I expect epic battle scenes, strong emotional depth, passable 3D and a great ending to a ten year series. 10/10 7/15: Winnie the Pooh I'm really looking forward to this movie as this movie brings a lot of nostalgia to the old story, old animation and favorite characters that might just be a fantastic children's film. 9.5/10 7/22: Captain America The First Avenger A lot of people say that this doesn't look appealing or that good, but I think I looks awesome so far, nice visuals, good lead actor, nice action, its probably one of those superhero movies that will shock people on how good it is. 9/10 7/29: Cowboys Vs. Aliens Nice ironic action, good tension, Jon Favreau is directing it who also directed Iron Man, questionable movie for me. 8/10 7/29: The Smurfs Another reboot on an old classic?! Seriously, I hate cash grabs exactly like this, they're annoying and cliche to the point where I'm gonna crack, I gave Yogi Bear a break sure, but children's films like these really dumb down the children's heads to a pull a quick buck. 1/10 |

HP7P2 is my single most anticipated movie of the year so it better be good or it'll piss off a lot of fans. I hate transformers so I don't care how the third plays out, Zookeeper and The Smurfs look like shit, Winnie The Pooh looks awesome, I hope CA will be good, and Cowboys vs Aliens looks like it could either be really good or really bad. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Every HARRY POTTER has been good, why not this one?Kevin James made PAUL BLART passable,so maybe he can do that here. The fact that THE SMURFS is half live-action already reminds us of similar movies, and they all have been bad. When they hire a TRANSFORMERS expert to write the 2nd one,I thought it would improve the script of the 1st,but it was the other way around. And the novelty of the FX is gone. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

6/3: X-Men First Class
Looks like a interesting movie for a big X-Men fan which I'm not for a certain extent but I did watch all the movies and this one looks pretty interesting, a prequel to how it all started looks mighty awesome. 8/10 6/10: Super 8 A movie I'm extremely looking forward too, this looks like a combination of E.T. mixed with Close Encounters which are my favorite movies, I'm heavily excited for this film to blow me away. 10/10 6/17: Green Lantern Not extremely excited for this at all, everythig I've seen from the trailer looks dull, the one bright side is Ryan Reynolds, I really enjoy that guy a lot, but well just have to wait and see. 6.5/10 6/17: Mr.Poppers Penguins Really love the book and Jim Carrey is a great choice for the role of Mr. Popper and looks like he has a great charismatic role, just hope they don't dumb it down to much. 7.5/10 6/24: Cars 2 Pixars third sequel in their library of terrific animated productions, I wouldn't doubt that this wont be fantastic, looks great a lot of fun, who knows it may pull an emotional punch then they can have another amazing film, I'm expecting a lot. 9.5/10 |

x-men first class looks epic (i am a huge x-men fan), Super 8 looks pretty good, Green Lantern is my second most anticipated movie of the year, mr. popper's penguins looks okay (Carrey will probably drag it up some more) and Cars 2 is pixar. nuff said 0 Replies | Report Abuse dude, theres a new trailer released for Green Lantern, showing off a load of cooler scenes, you should check it out, it may change your mind 0 Replies | Report Abuse I already dislike prequels in general.WOLVERINE was average, but I feel FIRST CLASS will suck.I suppose that if Pixar was ever gonna have a sequel,it would be to imnprove the 1st one,and CARS is their least good movie. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Well today I'm gonna give my predictions to the great summer season ahead in movies and give my guess on how im gonna rate them 1 through 10. :)
May 6: Thor A lot of avengers fan might be excited for The Avengers movie which I'm not particularly thrilled for started with Iron Man now Thor, based on the trailers the movie looks like a joke, I think its horribly shot, executed and no reason why it should be in post 3D, I really predict this film to extremely suck and be the worst movie of the year for me. 1/10 5/13: Bridesmaids Has a lot of funny people and stars but it might annoy the hell out of me such as movies like Bride Wars or 27 Dresses annoying. 3/10 5/13: Priest Looks visually compelling, might have nice 3D and action but Screen Gems has produced a lot of shit like Resident Evil or Legion so I'm giving it a low score because I expect not much from it. 6/10 5/20: Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides Well something I'm looking half forward too, looks like a lot of fun, funny moments, but Rob Marshall is the new director and that takes no pun intended Stranger Tides for the series, it doesn't need to be in 3D which is just another cash out which errkks me now in Hollywood that 3D is everything now. But mixed reactions were just gonna have to wait and see. 7.5/10 5/26: The Hangover Part II One in a million when a hit comedy with such critical.praise wants to make a sequel and this one is looming good so.far. I really enjoyed the first one a lot of great laughs and funny characters, and seeing a second one come is ballsy but really good trailers for it and a lot of people can't wait, I'm predicting it'll be funny and a good time. 8.5/10 5/27: Kung Fu Panda 2 Well let me see I like the first one, I don't love it, as far as I can say well crafted and animated , the second one I'm quite looking forward too in 3D especially with how improved Dreamworks has got with How To Train Your Dragon. 9/10 5/27: Tree of Life Probably one of the most interesting trailers I've ever seen, it seems like this movie is gonna get incredible buzz by critcs and audiences, I feel the same way as this movie so far looks compelling and fascinating, the way it was shot and the music sounds terrific, I am impressed. 9.5/10 Well that's part one of four, comment if you like and give your predictions. :)) |

well, i do want to see all of these, but I really am looking forward to thor and I agree that it has no purpose for 3D, i'm still going to see it because I am highly anticipating The Avengers in 2012. Bridesmaids looks okay, passably funny, Priest looks awesome, POTC4 looks like it could go either way (the trailer looked much more similar to the first, which was the only good one in the series), Hangover part II looks at least decent, KFP2 looks awesome (at least for those who liked the first one, like me) and Tree of Life looks wonderfully shot and looks like it reeks of Oscar. looking forward to the other parts of your predictions! 0 Replies | Report Abuse Some guys are thinking The Tree of Life will be an early best picture nominee. 0 Replies | Report Abuse yes, 3d has no purpose with thor than "look at the hammer flying to YOU!", but you can't fault a film on it's trailer. The trailer was Paul was crap, but the film was hilarious, and the phantom menace trailer was epic, but the result....you see where i'm going. There's NO way it'll be the worst film of the year, especially with another Twilight film on the horizon, oh and the Justin Beiber movie was released this year 1 Replies | Report Abuse No Thor might be the worst movie, it has to be, idc about Twilight because their fun movies to watch in a different way, and Justin Bieber I don't mind the movie. 1 Replies | Report Abuse well at the moment, Thor has a 94% approval rating on here, so it's far off from worst film of the year. and looking at the front page, I can see a lot of films which are definately worse 0 Replies | Report Abuse Because of all the hurry with THE AVENGERS,I feel THOR may've been made too quickly.PRIEST looks boring. The only reason we needed a PIRATES 4 was to solve the storyline of WILL & ELIZABETH.THE HANGOVER was excellent, but it will be too hard to get it right again, specially with this type of movie. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Well once again for the 83rd year in a row comes along another oscars for the year and I'm gonna give my insights on the major winners and the show itself.
James Franco and Anne Hathaway did a pretty good job hosting, I feel that they were off at points, espicially with the opening where they really didn't do much as someone like 2009's Hugh Jackman where he nailed it and was very entertaining to watch. Melissa Leo gave a really surprising speech, expecting like she wasn't going to win even though she was the frontrunner for the category, dropping the F bomb was funny yet embarrassing for her. Christian Bale gave a good speech and a well deserved award. Natalie Portman looked fantastic and gave a very memorable spech in winning for Black Swan, a little surprised they didn't go for the safe route and go for Annete Benning in the win, but glad for Portman. Colin Firth I thought gave an amaing speech for his fantastic role in The Kings Spech, really memorable and connected to me in a way shows how good a film The Kings Speech was. Now before that, kind of dissapointed that Exit Through the Gift Shop didn't win best doctumentary but glad that Inception got four wins for technical stuff, as long with The Social Network and Toy Story 3. Now Best Picture had a close race with The Kings Speech, The Social Network, and even Inception. But The Kings Speech is gonna either be the "Crash" of the year or it actually deserved to win for a lot of people. Me, I think that The Kings Speech is a great movie and I don't mind it winning. Also Tom Hooper over David Fincher?! KISS MY ASS! |

I was ok with both Tom Hooper and The King's Speech winning. It was my favorite film of the year and isn't even close to Crash! Great blog 0 Replies | Report Abuse Unfortunately, I couldn't get to watch it, but it looked like a lot of the awards went to their intended recipients. I can't say whether Social Network is better on the directing front than King's Speech yet. The one thing that this year's Oscars will be remembered for - "The Year Of The F Bomb", but if it was shock that you won an Oscar, how many people would not honestly F-Bomb? 0 Replies | Report Abuse Not sure what you mean by saying Bening would be the "safe route." She played a lesbian in a non-traditional family. That's a safe route? 1 Replies | Report Abuse She was a more simple character then Portman is what I'm saying. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

There is no way Twilight deserved the best film win, or to win nearly everything, MTVs a joke, I think your choices were better than the winners
