I don't think I could ever call a movie disturbing and grotesque yet beautiful but I can make an exception for The Silence of the Lambs! I was unsure if to watch this movie or not but I have a thing for movies that have been inspired by serial killer, Ed Gein. A combination of minor humour and masses of sinister scenes and brutality usually seems to work really well in Thriller/Horror films and this is the case for this movie. The films events happen in a perfect pace meaning you don't find each scene too fast nor too slow which adds onto the majorities excellence. However, I was slightly disappointed by the movie's final 15 minutes as I expected Buffalo Bill to face a slow and tedious fate and in fact the opposite happens. All considering, it does lead on to a pretty good cliff hanger ending that plays on your mind.
