Raging Bull is undoubtebly the best sports film ever followed by Million Dollar Baby and Rocky. Ive seen Fight Club and I have to admit I was loving it untill about the last 30 minutes I felt it just fell apart and I remember laughing at the ending it's due for a re-watch though. I haven't actually seen Boogie Nights but since you reccomended It i trust i should like it. I loved American History X but it's been like 3 years since I saw it so i'm not sure if i'd still feel the same about it like this is all from recent memory

Thanks. All great films, clearly haha. Oh man City Of God is probably the absolute best of the decade allthough my personal faovurite is Donnie Darko so yea you should see it. I think The Departed is great but not on the level of several other scorsese films like his earlier one's are usually his best imo, it's an entertianing film with a high replay value but ive seriously seen 100 films that I think are better

You missed Pan's Labyrinth. Apart from the exclusion of the best film of the last decade I have nothing to agrue with. North by Northwest is Hitchcocks best film. Actually, I would not include Saving Private Ryan on that list, I'm not a fan of it.

Great list. The only one that I saw that I didn't care for was Driving Miss Daisy. I thought it was only okay. Other than that, there are some amazing picks. I'm glad to see some love for the underappreciated "Misery" and "Being John Malkovich". The Silence of the Lambs, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Pulp Fiction would both make my top 10 favorites and many others like Let the Right One In, Ed Wood, and The Shining wouldn't be too far behind. I'm also glad you mentioned Titanic. I'm so tired of hearing people call it "overrated" so it's refreshing to see someone add it to a list like this. I think it's a great film.

Thanks. To each his own with that one then. Yea so true about Misery ive loved that film for years and have allways been suprised that I don't see it in many other lists and as for Being John Malkovich I wrote a review on it and allmost evedry comment was people saying they hadn't seen it or heard it but yea it's one of the ebstive ever seen without a doubt. I'm glad you feel the same about a good number of these and yea Titanic is a true epic it's one I grew up with I must admit I saw it recentely and it wasn't as am,zing as I remember it being but it's still within the best 100 ive seen and yea it's truly great I could care less whatthe haters say

Great work on preparing this list.... My "mixed" review on your part 2 as well ;)) Mulholland Drive, Donnie Darko and There will be Blood! Rocking choices....and Carlito's Way man!! Yes!! Way to Go!! :D (just to name a few..of course most of the films on here are outstanding!).. But can't say that...umm... Superbad belongs to the same league! :D (Amongst a few others of course....) But all said...great work..I can see how difficult it must've been to pick out 100 choices.

I'm, glad you espeically agree on those ones Carlito's Way for one allmost get's no respect at all. I dunno the first time I saw Superbad I thought that I truly haven't ever laughed as much at a film and I tried to be as diverse as possilbe and add all different types of films so eventhough I even questioned myself in putting that one on here in particular I just couldn't refuse I have some sort of connection with that film and I was waiting for someone to say that lol. Yea it was defintiely difficult to pick 100 and I still feel like I missed out too much

Gran Tornino was one I was considering but yea unfortunately when I finally made it atleast 10 films had to be cut off to make this list and I couldn't really think of anything to replace that with it would be in my top 10 for the decade though. Glad you included Forrest Gump man, many people put that film down. Excellent blog, and might I suggest the movie Dressed to Kill with Angie Dickinson and Michael Caine. Great movie, very controversial back in '80, I think it got rated X originally. I saw the X cut and it was pretty wild.
