The following are 3 cinematic contrivances that annoy the hell out of me, more and more ::
1) Action scenes where the camera works goes annoyingly shaky ( ie, all of Michael Bay and Paul Greengrass' movies ; others include Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, even the latest Harry Potter movie employs this god awful technique during the chase in the forest )
3) Chase sequences during Westerns or action movies where no one tries to shoot the horse or the car's wheels. Hello ?? You're trying to stop a guy riding on a horse by shooting the rider ? Aim for the horse !!!! Alot bigger target. Horse goes down, rider goes down. Easy. Simple.
And during car chases, dozens of persuers are chasing a single car. And they unload hundreds of rounds of ammo shooting at the car ???? Or aim for the driver ???? Again, Hello !!! Shoot the TIRES !!!! Chase over. Again easy. simple. Logical.
the age of the multiplex, internet, and cell phones, has created a generation of kids who don't have a clue how to behave in a theater
It's amazing to me, some people spend half the time in the theatre texting , not paying attention, and then spend the other half of the movie yakking on their cell phone, bothering the hell out people who spend $ 10 bucks to see a movie that they have waited a log time to see, and these same idiots of the cell phone brigade, at the end can't understand the film, and then have the gall to complain, " that movie sucked"
Trust me, kiddies, your life isn't so important that you need to be connected via text and cell during 2 hours of a movie.
