    Liar Liar (1997)

Jim Carrey is an utter riot as Fletcher Reede, a smooth-talking, always-lying attorney who can get anyone to squeal. When his constantly disappointed son, Max, makes a birthday wish wishing that his father couldn't tell a lie for one full day. It comes true, and now Fletcher has to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, no matter how embarassing.

I love a good comedy, and this takes the cake. It is a severly underrated film and one of the funniest movies ever, and that's no lie.

Jim Carrey is unpresentedly hilarious. The ability to make that many faces and not be corny takes true talent, especially in the scenes when he tries to lie, but can't, which will leave you in stitches.

The plot's not the best, but who cares. As they say in the Bible, "there's nothing new under the sun."

With killer comedy, a predictable plot, a managable job by the rest of cast, but a marvelous performance by my hero, Jim Carrey, Liar Liar will make you laugh hardily, and I don't care who you are.

    *** out of ****
