Eagerly anticipating your top ten... 0 Replies | Report Abuse Pretty good ranking. I didn't see a lot of 2012 movie so I will probably only do a top ten. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I'm hoping the same for Wreck-It-Ralph to win. I personally thought didn't what was great about Moonrise Kingdom. Thought it was a case of style over substance. But to each their own opinion. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Definitely planning on watching Flight, Frankenweenie, End of Watch, Arbitrage and Ted. I was extremely disappointed by The Hunger Games, but I was extremely impressed by The Raid: Redemption. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Very detailed list!! Great job 0 Replies | Report Abuse I only seen some of the movies on this list, however, I'm happy that the movies that I want to see have a favorable review by you. Now I know I can rent Frankenweenie, Flight, End of Watch, The Raid: Redemption and Cloud Atlas and won't be disappointed. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cloud Atlas you're going to have to wait for quite a while, as it won't be coming to stores until May 14th. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Gave The Raid: Redemption, Frankenweenie, and The Hunger Games the same rating. I like Chronicle a little than you. The format it was filmed in kept reminding me I was watching a movie. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I hated Prometheus and the poorly written plot kept creating more and more plot holes. Then again, this is the same guy who likes The Dark Knight Rises with it flaws. 21 Jump Street was easily the best comedy of last year (at least for me). Also enjoyed the smart Cabin In the Woods and the The Amazing Spider Man was great too. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I had a problem with Prometheus as well. Although the movie was decent, it seemed to me that it wasn't sure if it wanted to be the prequel to Alien or a stand alone movie. I think I would've enjoyed it better knowing it was a direct prequel to one of my favorite franchises. Besides that, your list, once again, is dead on. Can't wait to see the next one! 0 Replies | Report Abuse Nice list. I'll make my own list very soon. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Being an enormous Spider-Man fan, I kinda, almost hate Amazing Spider-Man. I mean, it has it's merits, but it doesn't come close, in terms of tone, and simply representing the iconic character, to what Raimi accomplished. I know I must sound like a broken record if you were to know my opinions on Spider-Man, but I always find myself surprised when people claim that ASM blows the originals out of the water. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I didn't like it as much as the first two and it wasn't as entertaining, but it was loads better than Spider-Man 3 and with the direction that Spider-Man 4 was taking, it would have been best if Spider-Man had been rebooted. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Pitch Perfect was a pleasant surprise. I ended up liking it more than I expected. Dredd was a stellar remake, though the action scenes wore standard stuff. Also liked The Expendables 2 (though slightly less than you) and Man In Black 3 was a fitting way to end the series on a good note. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Men in Black 3 isn't the end. There are talks of a fourth movie. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

That's it. ''The Lorax'' and ''Pirates'' are my least favorite films of 2012. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I liked The Pirates! Band of Misfits allot. I didn't like The Lorax much. Predictable jokes, force message, and the story was average at best. Though it did have colorful visuals. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

''Rock of Ages'', ''The Bourne Legacy'', and ''Snow White and the Huntsman'' are amongst the worst movies I've ever seen. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I actually liked Taken 2, The Bourne Legacy, and Safe. They're not as good as other action movies or match their predecessors, but I got what I wanted from those even if it was a bit disappointing. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I thought Taken 2 was a waste of talent and boring compared to the first one. I don't understand how someone who kept flunking driver's training was able to drive a car with manual transmission like a racecar driver down the narrow streets (ok she did hit a few cars long the way). Rock of Ages was entertaining but not a favorite of mine. I agree with you with Breaking Dawn part 2. It had me going until the sudden twist, which did kill it for me. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I loved ''Red Tails'', and particularly thought ''The Dictator'' was amusing. ''Wrath of the Titans'' is one of the most forgettable and stupidest "film" experiences I've ever had. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I liked The Dictator since it didn't restrain itself on the comedy, but that's also why some can't enjoy it. I liked the visuals of Dark Shadow and Depp, but everything else was lacking. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Please make sure to send me links to any new blogs you make. I love reading them. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I didn't like the Total Recall remake either. It's as copy and paste as any remake can get. I'm glad I don't follow the Paranormal Activity series. I personally hate the first entry, but thankfully some good traditional horror movie are still made. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Can't believe you've seen one hundred 2012 movies. Wish I was able to. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I'll have about 110 or so to be exact. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I've had plenty of resources to make it possible. Having a driver's license, Netflix, but most importantly a Family Video store in which I have a 50% membership discount that lasts for 30 days and can be renewed at any time. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I liked ''To Rome With Love'', truth be told, but it wasn't a great film by aby means. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I thought Resident Evil was trash but I kinda liked Total Recall although I didn't get the same rush from watching it like the original. The Possession was ho-hum. I didn't see the others on the list, and by looking at your ratings I don't think I will be in a rush to see them anytime soon (although I do have a few of those titles on my Netflix list). 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

*cringe*... Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and This Means War... 0 Replies | Report Abuse Ouch. Cosmopolis sounds boring and I don't think I could ever sit through something like that. You certainly seen quite the list of awful junk this year. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I disagree on ''The Tree Stooges''. I grew up watching the original sitcom, and when compared to awful film adaptations such as those of ''The Flintstones'', the ''Three Stooges'' movie was surprisingly faithful and solidly good. If episodic and unnecesarily modern, the acting was superb, and script was just as surreal as the originals intended. As for ''Silent Hill 2'', I felt that movie was cute when compared to the horror genius of its video game source. 0 Replies | Report Abuse As always, I enjoy reading your reviews and I really like the list you have created. I still would like to see Silent Hill but now I know what I'm getting myself into. I thought Abe Lincoln: VH was entertaining for what it's worth and Battleship wasn't too bad (yeah it really could have been better). Tyler Perry was perfect for the role of Alex Cross but the movie sucked. I have yet to see Paranormal Activity 4, Hit and Run, and Three Stooges. I will pass of That's My Boy. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I never saw the others except #93. I thought it was epic although it wasn't a near masterpiece. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Quite the great selection for a top ten list. Haven't seen The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but I'm hoping it's as good as you say. I've enjoyed reading these. May great things come this year too.

Django great choice. Not my favorite of the year, but awesome, and one of them.

Better than most Top Tens. I agree with your pics, though my first two were in proper order: 1- Lincoln 2- Django Unchained ;) Very glad you included TDKR!

Nice picks! 4 of the films you chose are also part of my Top 10 list. I rarely give a 10 to a film though hehe Will be doing one pretty soon!

Interesting list. I didn't share your enthusiasm for Zero Dark Thirty, The Dark Knight Rises, Lincoln, The Impossible, Looper or Argo, but I loved The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Django Unchained and Skyfall. Have you seen Beasts of the Southern Wild or Sleepwalk with Me? Both are indie films which are on my top 10.

Haven't seen Sleepwalk with Me. Beasts of the Southern Wild is listed at #16 as one of my honorable mentions.

Hmm... I approve! Most of your items were on my list, although I haven't see Looper yet. Have you seen Life of Pi, Moonrise Kingdom, Amour and Beasts of the Southern Wild? Those all made mine.

I've seen all those except for Amour. The other three didn't make my Top 10, but they're in my honorable mentions (see Part 10 of My 2012 List)

I would have to have Hitchcock in my top 10. It was a great film but not very well marketed.

Couldn't agree more with #1. I personally thought that the entire cast deserved an Oscar nomination of some kind, especially Leo who got snubbed entirely.

Great list. Those are some of my favorite films of the year. I disagree with your statement that Affleck started out as a mediocre actor. I'm not sure if you've seen Good Will Hunting, but he is very strong in that film. Here is a link to his best scene. Far more than mediocre if you ask me. http://youtu.be/fpnFFHxg5a0

Haven't seen that movie, but my statement mostly was mostly based on some of the not so good movies he was in like Armageddon and Pearl Harbor. But I'm starting to see him in his better movies and starting to recognize him.

While I wouldn't agree with Django being the best film of the year, I do find that your top ten is made up of some fantastic films, all of which could claim to among the year's very best.
