I am loosing pretty much any respect for the opinions and writing of critics these days. This movie was a little more kiddish and less polished then say Lord of the Rings or movies along those lines that are meant more for older audiences and adults, but the critics seem to really have something against the Director here and they took that to another level with this movie and other critics jumped on the band wagon.
Again it makes me loose respect for critics and sites like this. This move was a good kids movie. My five year like it, my brother liked it and I liked it. It was based on and co-produced by Nickelodeon studios. The graphics and scenes were all pretty decent and maybe just maybe balanced out some sort of budget. When you shooting for a kids movie I don't think you go out and break the bank necessarily. The acting was not horrible.
Unknown actors kids for the most part but they all filled the part well enough. To sum it up, it was a not a splat, it was a decent movie mis-represented by out of touch crusty critics that need a new job. Also I will say I say Toy Story 3 and it was same old same old too me also a good kids movie but The Last Air Bender being a new story was much more refreshing.
