Interesting picks. I suppose I'm just like everyone else -- strongly agree with you on some, and wonder what you are smoking on others. I've watched a couple of your reviews. They are entertaining, but yes, usually too long. Maybe you could edit some of those 15-minute reviews down into five-minute blocks? (By the way, I am forever ranting about this, but Carpenter's "Halloween" is nowhere near as original as you and most other people think it is.)

Yeh, my vidoes are way to long; once I start talking though I can't stop until everything is told and I don't know how long they are going to be. What film before Halloween was like it (I know about Psycho so don't mention that).

Black Christmas, a low-budget Canadian film made four years earlier (1974). The famous killer-point-of-view opening scenes, the "babysitters in distress," the killer in the house -- everything supposedly new about Halloween was done first and, in my opinion, better by Bob Clark four years earlier. Carpenter obviously did a lot of "borrowing."

Hmmm interesting picks David. I like that you have Hard Candy. A very good movie, I thought Ellen Page was great in it. The Silence of the Lambs is also brilliant. District 9 and Pulp Fiction are also great picks ;) And Battle Royale eh? Tarantinos favorite if I am not mistaken? Nice Blog David :)
