Good Review. Hilarious movie, although I liked The Holy Grail better. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers, I thought the ending of the Holy Grail was the deciding factor. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

When you say the twist ending is horrible you mean it's bad or it's good because it shows something horrible? 1 Replies | Report Abuse both, the ending was a bit of a kick in the teeth, this is one of my older reviews. So it needs improving. 1 Replies | Report Abuse So it's bad and good at the same time? 1 Replies | Report Abuse |

Good review Myerla. You argue your case well, although I like this more than you. Will be interested to see what you think of my review (and you needn't be so modest when you send me messages!) 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Great rant/ review :) 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers ranting can be quite fun. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I totally 100% agree all the way. There are no words to describe how much I hate this movie. Good review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks for the comment, it really is a shocking movie. 0 Replies | Report Abuse This movie is so bad, it is beyond any rant. Thanks for taking the time to put it into words... 1 Replies | Report Abuse Ha, it was quite hard to write it without swearing. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

in my opinion is a perfect movie, but you have a great review Myerla. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers mare 1 Replies | Report Abuse Mate 2 Replies | Report Abuse Good review. I agree with your points about the romantic element not quite working and Mars Attacks! being rubbish. But I do think Burton's version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is superior to the original 1 Replies | Report Abuse I prefer the orginal because, as a kid I loved Roald Dahl, and my favourite book was Charlie and Chocolate Factory, and 1971 version was the one I grew up with, and I used to watch it everytime I went to my Grandma's house. When I mean grew up, I'm a 90s man, so no other versions were out until 2005. I admit Burton's adapatation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is more visually superior, but I do think Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka is far more dignified and sophisticated then Depp's rather slaps 1 Replies | Report Abuse I too loved Roald Dahl as a child, and still do. But I always found the original too bland and sanitised; with the exception of the tunnel sequence, there's just not enough of the magic of the book. Burton's version is not only closer to the book in plot but it captures the creepy, twisted tone so much better, and Depp is a much better Wonka imho 0 Replies | Report Abuse Spectacular review Myerla. I really liked this one a lot. Actually its probably my favorite Burton film. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers, it's a good film. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

The fact that such a scrungy, low-budget film was recently shown on the arty, upmarket BBC4 shows how important this film is. Good review Myerla 1 Replies | Report Abuse Other films such as Witchfinder Genreal, Dawn of the Dead (1976) and Shivers (I think.) Thanks for the comment. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Good review. I admire this film for its craft and its scares. Indeed it is one of the best horror movies of all time. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers, it is indeed a classic and superb horror movie, shame slashers are not that good anymore. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I didn't like it as much as you did, but I recognize the importance. I disagree that Halloween is the most important horror. Psycho takes the cake with that one for me. No Psycho, no Halloween. 2 Replies | Report Abuse Great review! 0 Replies | Report Abuse Fine point, but more horror films look torwards Halloween for inspiration. Cheers for the comment. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I haven't seen a Coen brothers movie that I didn't like, from Blood Simple to Oh Brother Where Art Thou? 1 Replies | Report Abuse It's a great film. I'm planning to watch Fargo quite soon. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

It still makes your skin crawl with tension. Nice review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Yep, it sure does thanks for the comment. 0 Replies | Report Abuse great review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Good review. The Roman numeral was CIX in place of Six. I'm just glad we won't ever get to Saw Part 109 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers, same I think two Saws were enough. I think I done something quite smart, considering Saw 6 is the last Saw (not including saw 3D) using the Roman numeral CIX(which when said as a whole word, is six) is quite smart, but totally accidental. 0 Replies | Report Abuse A masterpiece, one of my favorite movies of all time. Great review. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Cheers. 0 Replies | Report Abuse This film is incredible. It's frightening and will never show its age. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Completly agree, thanks for the comment. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Welcome. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Great Review. I agree completely with you. People don't realise how scary this movie is with modern horror film technology. But this sure is the most disturbing movie i have seen in my life. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Totally agree, thanks for the comment. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Myerla, you know how much I love this film and you have done it justice. Great review. I'll answer your question in a separate comment since RT still doesn't allow paragraphs (bastards) 1 Replies | Report Abuse In my opinion, I don't think it matters whether or not Deckard is a replicant. There's good arguments on both sides, and much debate about the inclusion or omission of the unicorn dream sequence which is held to be the crux of whether he's human or not. My view is that the film's thesis is that in this world the boundary between what is human and what is not is now so blurred that that boundary is largely irrelevant. Technology is now so close to replicating human nature and character that to de 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks for the comment, you make a very good point. I hope that the use of machines as personal slaves never ever happens, as it almost never ever ends well for us. A continuity I have noticed between a lot of Sc-Fi movies is us colaniazing planets just like Pizzarro and Cortes did to the Inca and Aztec empires respectively, god, as a whole, we are a horrible species. When I said that Blade Runner was not a cult classic, that was a typo. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Spectacular review, I really love this film. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Thanks for the comment, glad you liked the film as much as i did. 0 Replies | Report Abuse This is by far the greatest Science Fiction movie!
