    • By Cesar Marc. Copyright. The ancient triumphal Quadriga or the Four Horses of St. Mark's is a set of ancient Greek bronze and copper statues of four horses. They were part of the facade of the basilica since the 13th century, then kept inside in the early 1980s to preserve them against pollution.
