An intense heartfelt cop film. As i watched this movie my interest in it kept growing and growing to the point that i had to see what would happen. The chemistry between Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena is incredible and its what makes this movie from good to perfection. As you learn about this LAPD cops and their personal lives the more you feel for these characters and begin to really enjoy the film. The interactions between the main characters aren't the only thing that is great but the cartels that are the main villain are fantastic. You really believe that these actors are real gang members by the way they talk and act, End of Watch doesn't make them over the top which a lot of movies with similar antagonist tend to do. The film is shot in a kind of documentary style with Jake Gyllenhaals character recording for a class hes taking. In saying that I noticed that this film kinda switches from recording to having shots like a normal drama. At first this kinda bothered me but as I got more into the movie and strangely this began happening more I began to like it. I give props to David Ayer the director for that because I feel that if the whole movie was that type of found footage style it would begin to bug me. Overall I think most people wont really notice it and if they do they wont mind.

I have a strong hatred toward this movie not only is it boring and the main love interest is a complete dumbass. It seems like this movie is complete cash grab with actions scenes so poorly shot it makes Micheal Bay action a masterpiece. Throughout the film all the main chick does is do something stupid and Vin Diesel has to help her. This formula is played out throughout the whole film and you cant get the chance feel something for these characters because the acting is so bad. The film tries to trick us into thinking it has intelligence within its story and script but the fact is the script is lazy and this is based off of a book. So the story isn't even originally conceived from the filmmakers. The villain is a Russian Mobster that is after the girl that Vin Diesel is saving and taking to her destination. He doesn't have the worst performance in the film but his character is weak and even though he isn't the worst he still is pretty bad. The visuals are pretty weak as far as the imagination of the film goes. The trick to making a futuristic film with a run down city is exploring the world that city exists in. Letting the audience have a clear understanding of that world. Bablylon A.D. attempts to do that but immediately stops which shows me a clear sign of pure laziness. You can make the argument that this is just a mindless action movie but the action like i said earlier in the film is weak and very boring to watch. My suggestion is to stay clear from this film don't waste your time watching it.

Oblivion is visually incredible with shots paying homage to classic sci-fi movies mainly Star Wars which ironically one of the screen writers is Michael Arndt (writer of Episode 7). The reason I say this is because the thing that brought this movie down was the script that was filled with plot holes, weak characters, and an extremely weak 3rd act. In his defense there where 3 other writers one of which is the director Joseph Kosinski who directed Tron Legacy another film that incredibly weak in my opinion as far as the story, but great in the visual department. The other two writers are William Monahan who wrote The Departed but that is the only film hes been apart of with a fresh on the tomatoes meter. Karl Gajdusek the second writer wrote the last Joel Schumacher movie so based off of these facts I feel that its those two writers that brought this movie down. Maybe they wrote the original draft and Michael Arndt revised it and in doing that wasn't able to connect the holes but that's still no excuse. I felt watching this movie the more mediocre it became the more I looked to the side of the theater and wanted to take my phone out the check the time. Overall I see this film to be a decent Saturday night rental but not as a movie you need to run to the theater to go and see.

Even though I feel The Graduate is getting slightly dated, its still a classic film that is emotionally great and has great performances from Dustin Hoffman, Katharine Ross, and Murray Hamilton. As far as the dated aspect of this film goes I felt that it was off of the very little amount of sympathy I felt for the Benjamin character to the point that I was getting frustrated and thought to myself he deserved not to come out on top at the end. By the end I do question after everything he put her through why would Elaine still want to be with him. This is dated to me because when this film first came out this was looked more as a comedy rather then a drama, this all comes from the change in cinema. So in a way i cant really blame the movie at all for not 100% standing the test of time because most movies cant. I love that this movie can still have have a different meaning then it was originally intended and to me that actually makes it timeless rather then dated. Also the movie again kept my attention and even though i didn't completely like the Benjamin character I still felt happy at the end mainly because of the soundtrack and perfect timing of the direction.

Though this movie has flaws it still brings freshness to the spiderman franchise. It spends a good amount of time developing characters getting to know them. Andrew garfield as spiderman is perfect as for Emma stone she is great but her character gwen is a bit not as important or relivant as she should have been. Rhys ifans as the lizard is also great he is a character you feel sorry for and he feels very human soulful. I like the action and the new soundtrack from Jame horner. The movie suffers from a some cheezyness but not as much as the rami series. Also the script is not as strong as it should be but hopefully in the sequel it will improve. A lot of side plots go a bit long and some dont really go anywhere. Visually the film is amazing and the acting is great. The new story is pretty good but some dialoge is whatever except for some of peter and gwens dialoge at times is very smart and well written. Overall the amazing spiderman is amazing with a couple of flaws here and there but I would suggest everyone to watch it for a good time. The movie leaves it open for a sequel so I am excited for that as well I give the Amazing Spiderman a 8.5/10.

This film was so disappointing in so many ways. The story was like the first but way less as funny and it was just a waste of time. I wish this movie was never made and that if it was it would live up to the first.

An amazing movie that makes you relive classic spielberg films. Abrams does a great job with the story, acting, and look of this movie. This movie is the best movie of 2011 yet a must see.
