Favorite Scene From A Movie: the baptism scene in the godfather where michael son is being christened while all of his enemies are being taken out, the restaurant scene where michael kills the crooked cop and his father's mobster enemy- i still get nervous every time i watch that part, in the godfather part II i love all of deniro's scenes as vito Corleone, In goodfellas when they put billy bates in the trunk of their car, then they drop by (joe pesci's ) mom's house to get a knife and then comfortably have dinner while an almost dead guy is still in the trunk- priceless! any scene from Casino, the only parts with sharon stone that i like is when deniro is dragging her across the floor and kicking her out of the house and when she overdosed in the end :)The last scene from scarface-EPIC, The scene in Terminator 2 where sarah connor is trying to escape the mental institution and then she sees the terminator again and hes like "come with me if you want to live"

Top Ten Dysfunctional Movie Families Posted on 04/05/11 04:18 PM \| Last edited on 04/05/11 04:18 PM Mood: Troublesome I don't know about you but my family is pretty dysfunctional, lots of fighting and drama enough to put some kids in therapy! Yet I some how still love them......kind of .....lol But hey the families in these movies make my life experiences seem a fairy tale, so please enjoy this crazy list and be greatful your daddy is not Jack Torrence from The Shinning LOL 10. The Ref As you may have remembered from my review, the Ref is a typical dysfunctional movie family- bickering couple, crazy controlling mother in law, rebellious kid, nevertheless absolutely hilarious! 9. Home Alone The McCallisters make it a habit of leaving their children alone in the house to fend off criminals while they jetset around the world. Child services has been notified. ;p 8. Kill Bill As loving as they seemed when they were reunited, it’s not enough to make us forget that Bill put Beatrix in a coma and took their unborn daughter away. Not to mention how Beatrix made her it her prime goal to kill him! I wonder what kind of messed up stories she will tell her daughter about how she came to be in this world ;p 7. Meet The Fockers Having Robert Deniro as your father in law, who wouldn't be stressed out! 6. The Addams Family You think your family is a bit "weird", the Addams family surely proves they are normal compared to them .The Addams were bizarre and unaware of their eccentricities. Ignorance is bliss, right? 5.National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation This is a family most people can compare theirs' too, all those annoying relatives! and that dreaded time of the holidays where you must spend time with them! 4.Psycho It's always nice to love you mother, but a momma's boy is never attractive and when love crosses the line to obsession and insanity, maybe its time to let go.... 3.American Beauty The Burnhams look like the perfect suburban family with the perfect suburban house, but trouble lurks below the facade. Dad has quit his high-paying white collar job to flip burgers and chase cheerleaders; mom continues to canoodle with a mono-browed realtor; and little Jane is messing around with the creepy neighbor's kid. All that is definitely dysfunctional but the real danger lies with the gun-wielding homicidal homophobe next door. 2. The Shinning All work and no play might make Jack a dull boy, but considering Jack's idea of family fun involves a bottle of whiskey, an axe, and an elevator filled with blood, he should probably stick to work. Wow this picture is really creepy LOL 1. The Godfather Some families deal with brotherly troubles through a round of beer or perhaps group therapy. The Corleones, on the other hand, use more direct methods. Though their weddings are amazing, their fishing trips should be avoided ;p Also some honorable mentions, (many of which I have yet to see) The Royal Tenenbaums Little Miss Sunshine* The Manchurian Candidate Mommie Dearest* Raising Arizona* Step Brothers* Igby Goes Down* This Boy's Life The Fighter The Simpsons* The Texas Chainsaw Massacre* If you have any more suggestions of crazy movie families, let me know and if you'd like tell me how your family is dysfunctional :)

The ending of Fight Club perplexes me, because a character shoots himself in the mouth with a gun, but walks away relatively unscathed. Its been described as such on TV by others. But you know what, as your personal family is a great example, I don't think in reality we really know what DYSFunctional really really means. That means, cannot function, yet the large majority of familys stay familys because they CAN function, however badly. The divorced families are truely the dysfunctional ones, would you agree? No, I'm Scottish, but after seeing Kontrol when it came out and following what Nimrod Antal was doing, I started to realise there is this whole Hungarian film culture which seems to stand out from other European countries. I met a hungarian guy in Glasgow once and asked him why it stood out as having a slightly wierd point of view on things and he said it might be historical because supposedly your language comes from Finnish and not Slavic, and also there's different ethnic groups which have formed the folklore like Magyar and so on, then there's the whole experiment with communism and the gang culture that has sprung up in recent times. No doubt you will know more about it all than me. I love Taxidermia also.
